Russo is a turd who worked behind the scenes at different wrestling companies, always trying to bring a Jerry Springer element into the business.

Wonderful, as if those stories weren't crazy enough. Have to check that section of the book to see if he was mentioned.

Explained it better than me, yep. Ever hear what Jim Cornette thinks of Russo?

Deciding which explanation to reply to, I went with the more colorful.

He has the intellect and vocabulary of a 3rd grader. I tried listening to some of his podcasts for the guests but he is unlistenable. Literally says "bro" every 15-20 seconds.

Just skimmed Bob's book to find chapter 22 about his time as an obsessive kid, writer and how he got there. He does reference Russo and the decline of the WCW.
Great read if not only for the history of one of the most influential punk bands in America and the DIY scene, followed by Major Label Discontent, but a chapter about WCW history as well.

That was a rough one to watch in person.

Chiefs, they gave out shirts with that awful hashtag on it. It'll make a good rag.

I enjoyed that last night

I fully expect growing pains, and have a lot of patience for all of them

I just didn't think Hajek was ready and wow he looked scary last night

I don't know if not playing him tomorrow night already is the answer though

You have to play Hajek. Fox had him moments too out there. It's just to be expected when these guys have so little experience. I actually thought DQ did an A+ job of switching the defensive pairings last night and not that they were great, but it looked say not as bad in the third period. Don't forget too Hajek is coming off a major injury, I'm sure that has something to do with it as well.

Other than that, this team is going to be scary when things get going. It felt like at times everything that could go wrong did, and yet they still scored 5 (not counting the EN goal) and the offense looked unstoppable at times.

They do, they could have scored 10 easily themselves. One thing I want to give our guys is how resilient we were last night. There were a number of times where we could have just folded, especially after we fell behind. Instead, we just kept fighting. Again, it's only one game, but that was really nice to see.

this is a very motivated Winnipeg team too that probably thought they were just as good as the Blues last year and went out quick and it probably eats at them considerably

that team needs to acquire a horse on the blue line though if Big Buff isn't coming back

He deserved at least a goal, probably 2. He will get his. I'm already ready to promote him to the first line, Buch didn't look nearly as good as Zib and Panarin IMO.

I hope he scores his first goal soon just to get that monkey off his back.

The kid is insanely good, he does not look 18 years old whatsoever.

I guess we don't know for sure, but I'm SHOCKED they didn't either try to trade for or offer sheet ADA. I'm sure to them he would look really good in a Jets uniform, and they could possibly build around him and Morrissey.

Rational me understands all of this but it is still hard to let go of when the defense wasn't atrocious. They let Hank get shelled last night.

First line looked great. Strome is not a 2c and need chytl to step up.

Kakko looked good. Skeji Staal and hajek looked bad. Lindgren should get a call up soon

Fox looked solid

Yeah, ADA did not look very good last night. All of his shots seemed to hit a body right in front of him and he wasn't receiving passes so well.

ADA looks like Paul Coffey compared to Kulikov and some of the other stiffs they were playing with. On Zibs goal they practically parted the red sea for him. Might have been one of the easiest goals he has ever scored.

probably true but the reality is that I think at this point they still feel more comfortable with lefty shooting Kreider and Kakko having a right handed passing centerman

I've said for months I wasn't a fan of the Strome 2C decision, but I feel like if I would give Chytil 10 games before evaluating, we kinda have to do the same with Strome.
