Schneider gave up 2 goals then left the game injured. Blackwood looked terrible. If he starts against the Flyers, it could be a significant advantage. - Djapana
Tough spot for the kid. Blackwoods a decent young goalie |

Man, TK hasn’t missed a beat. His steal that led to his first was a thing of beauty. His second was a hell of a snipe from the backhand.
Glad he’s locked up - Hesh_
Just a wild backhand snipe after walking around Keith. Just loved it.
Also, solid bounce back game from hart. Lot of hard saves and decent rebound control. Looked every bit like a number 1. |

In my opinion by his normal standards, Giroux didn't have a very good game. Also thought that Provorov played a strong game overall. - MJL
I’m also not seeing what people are seeing. Outside the first turnover that led to the first Hawks goal, Provorov was very good.
Hagg also played well. I think people are seeing what they want to see. Flyers were the better team today. I’m not sure I want Duncan Keith right now. |

Was Hagg really that bad? I didn't notice him doing anything horrible. - Tomahawk
Comments against Hagg are ridiculous. |

Schenn got an 8 year extension. I mean he's a good player and all but 8 years? I don't really think of him as a cornerstone player and to me those are the only guys you go 8 years for. - hereticpride
It's all about Stanley cup momentum .
Schenn is young enough to give Blues 5 good years
The rest 3 year s they will handle later with a front loaded contract |

I thought Hagg was decent. Not great or terrible, jusr decent. I thought Braun had a very rough game, personally. |

Not sure what you're seeing. I didn't see that at all. Provorov had a strong game.
A big reason why the Flyers won the game is that they significantly outplayed the Hawks top line in terms of carrying play at 5 on 5. Provorov was a big part of that. The first Hawks goal was simply a good play by Kane and really a stoppable shot that Hart should've had. |

The only thing I didn't like in the game Friday was the PPG against with 20 seconds left in the 2nd period. Should be able to get out of that without a goal. Same issues they had most of the last two season. Poor stick position and losing back door coverage. Before that, Kane turns and has his back to the play. That is the perfect time for Couturier to attack and pressure the puck. The most Kane would've been able to do there is send the puck to the point. Instead, Couturier backs off, has his stick in a poor spot. Raffl backs off and loses back door coverage. Lack of pressure and poor stick position and coverage. Creates a wide open cross ice passing lane to an uncovered player. Same issues. |
