Does it not seem many of Lindbloms goals are of the lucky/fluky type? Hey I’ll take it as long as they go in.

You're right! Not many of his goals are jaw dropping and full of skill. But he keeps putting them in and they count on the scoreboard. Alot of times I end up thinking "holy poop!! That went in!!"
I'll take 20 or more of those goals if that is how he scores!
But I know exactly what you mean

Decent 1st game for the Flyers. Players are still looking to find their roles and see how they land within the structure of the team. Raffl with a real solid game. Jake looks rusty. The D pairings still need a bit more structure/stabilizing. Hart looked really good. Everyone talks about how the Flyers don't have a sniper. They have one. His name is Travis Konecny.

Also another note - the fantasy league a bunch of us are in from here. Can I get a link to that again? I only bookmarked it on my work machine. Thanks in advance.

Any update on Stewart? Was he waved, signed to a 2-way, put on waivers?

Most importantly Lindblom's game has improved to the point that his line is always a threat to score. I was not a big fan of him at first but he is turning into a bright spot for me. He is a two way player, seems to always be in the right place and I think he will collect 40-50 points this year. Go Fyers.

Twarynksi in my opinion is more of a 4th line player than a 3rd line player. It remains to be seen if his offensive contributions that we saw in pre season translates to the regular season.
- MJL

Ideally 4th but can slide to 3rd, I wouldn’t want him on the 3rd line long term

twarynski is perfect for the 4th line where he will probably end up once Patrick is back and Laughton moves to the 4th line. Wouldn't surprise me to see Pitlick move to the 3rd line. I assume he started on the 4th line because he went from being hurt to playing games without any preseason action. I actually thought he did a good job. let Farabee get AHL time.
- nastyflyergirl

Agreed on all. Pitlick had a solid game. When healthy he has played some decent hockey. Think he is more suited for that 3rd line then Twarynski. Bunn will most likely be pushed out when Patrick is cleared. He hasn’t played bad and Bunnaman has been a nice surprise from camp but he is here on all hustle. Nice to have somebody that can give you some depth in a pinch.

Farabee is slide rule eligible so that is just another perk along with him benefiting from getting some big minutes in the A. Not saying if they felt he would help them that they wouldn’t bring him up. Just want to see what happens when cap gets settled out. This roster may get tweaked a bit

Twarynski belongs in the NHL. He had a nice game with several good opportunities. No need for farabee to get a call up, he didnt earn a roster spot imo. Let him get top line minutes in the AHL

I didn't know Pitlick was in until I started watching the game. He was solid. He's also a bit bigger than I thought he was. Team certainly has improved depth.

Thought he looked fully engaged despite missing camp.

Could see him moving up to 3RW pretty quickly. If not, Raffl Laughton Pitlick will form a very strong 4th line.

Great win & I'm glad team is off to a good start. I want to tip my hat to Brad Marsh & Rob Baer for the Warrior Hockey program. God Bless both you & the organization for starting this program. We cannot do enough for ALL our veterans. Giving these heros the opportunity to play the great game hockey is a wonderful thing. GO WARRIORS!!!!

He had a mixed effort from what I saw. Made some nice plays as it went along but was a little shell shocked to start the game.

..and there's nothing wrong with that. Really going to help us having people slotted correctly. No more of this Raffl on the 1st or 2nd line. IF Patrick ever gets healthy, I am also eager to see if his being slotted for 3C matchups helps him as is the plan.

Hopefully they get some good news on Patrick next week. Could be the difference between 3 good lines vs 3 great lines. Was encouraging to see a strong game from the third line incase they have to carry on without him.

Also liked AV using all 4 lines. 4th line got about 10 minutes. No one got stapled to the bench to protect a lead.

Actually that's not true. Bunnaman did not see the ice again after a shift ended with 8 minutes to go in the 3rd period. Players like Raffl, Pitlick and JVR only saw a couple of shifts in the 3rd period in the last 10 minutes with wide gaps of ice time between shifts. The bench was definitely shortened with certain players getting more ice time late in the game.

Keith was bad yesterday. Pairing him with Gustafsson is a mistake, because they are both over aggressive. That said, he was pretty bad yesterday.

I’m not blind to the cheap stuff that Keith has done in the past, but I didn’t see any of that yesterday.

Nylander wasn’t bad. The goal was a really nice shot. The knock on him from the start was that he doesn’t bring it the whole game. I saw more of that yesterday. It was like he said “I scored my goal, my part is done”. Again, sloppy game overall for the Hawks. If you want a good laugh, go to our board right now. I’ve counted 7 new lineups, two trades, and Colliton will be out before Halloween. 🤣

I didn't see anything cheap from Keith yesterday, but what he has done in the past will always give me a bad taste.

This season the number is 1.075K. The formula is minimum salary for the season (700K) plus 375K

Patrick:

Probably would not be a popular decision by most people, but I wouldn't mind seeing Patrick sent to the Phantoms for at least a few games once he is cleared.

So, I was unsure about AV at first, but man it really did feel like we finally had an alpha dog who knows how to run a show when I saw him.

It just felt a lot different than Hak. Something I haven’t quite felt since Lavy, but even Lavy was still kinda youthful with us.

AV came across as a man who can get things done.

Well he is the 1st coach we've had with legit NHL head coaching experience since Lavy. It's nice to have a guy who's already figured some things out and isn't learning on the job.

Really liked the buzz on the bottom 6. They got good juice outta them.

I don’t think Raffl’s job is in trouble (he’s not first on the chopping block), but if Raffl feels a little heat, then that’s all that matters. There were times he played like a guy who feared the kids breathing down his neck waiting for a spot.
