Seemed like a pre season game with all the penalties and fumbled pucks, missed passes etc. - Bettmanhatesus

Missed the game tonight as i was at the theatre watching the new joker movie.
Having skimmed the recording, looks like the canucks were a little sleepy for the first 2? Made a big push in the 3rd but very few high quality chances. Hopefully more of those come as the chemistry builds |

Edler had a tough night, hughes and myers were good, it wasn't a well played game. |

yes I know but you to find a way to win a snoozer, flames did, good on them, we didn't. Chemistry isn't there yet from a nucks perspective. |

I thought Edler was poop tonight. Every single shift he had on the PP, he fumbled not so difficult pucks on the blue line and the zone had to be cleared. His trade mark. He'll be better next season. You can count on that.
Jake played better but like I was saying the other night. Its a feel good road game for him every time. Reward him of course. Motivate any way you can.
Quinn was great again. Best player over the whole 120 min so far.
Myers did some really good things in this game. Who here didnt know he turns over pucks though? He's still light years better than Edler 5 on 5 and on the PP. I loved his mean streak after getting dumped face first. The little shot by Giordano after set him off. Awesome.
When do you think Miller gets bumped up to Petey's line? We have 3 players playing poorly together. Brock and Ferland are suffocating Petey. He needs to get the puck more often. I've been saying it since July 1st. Petey will get the puck on net constantly if he is not the set up guy on his line. Miller can feed EP and Brock pucks. Not EP feeding Bock and Ferland pucks. They take so long to get shots/pucks on net unless it's deflections. Petey is instant(when his stick doesnt explode).
Bo's line still the best line but not as good as game 1. They are playing an offensive game down low so some pucks are going to come back the other way. EP's line and the 3rd line need goals to counter common mistakes... so ball is in your court Green. What now?
Can't wait to finish NHL preseason. Green's AHL preseason was fun though.

Edit: Gaudette had to warm up. Excusable since he hasnt played 10 days. His buzz was coming back though. Keep him in!
LE was not in the line up. Canucks never gave up a PP goal. Take notice. Send him down. Bring up offense. - boonerbuck
It's an essay, but I think its a good summation. |

So far, I have found that Elias is becoming to predictable, he will need to adjust, Brock has been way off, Bo, Miller and Pearson, are the driving force, behind this team(so far), Tanev and Hughes, have been the teams best pairing, Markstrom has been playing well and the team is starting to have a pack mentality.
Loved Jake's sneaky elbow, along the boards, he needs to continue playing with an edge.
PK has looked good, but, the PP sucks. This style of PP, worked when the Sedin's were around, but, this motionless PP, is absolute garbage.
Also, Myers, despite the turnover, had a decent game.
Not having to watch Loudini, makes the games more enjoyable.
Trying to compete with Booner's essays.😁
Edit, of the 4 players, who played on the 3rd line, only Sutter, had shots on goal. |

Yeah, I wept for the Powerplay last night.
I also wept for the loss of preparedness. It takes two periods before the guys realize the game has started. |
