We all have no idea why he was scratched but it’s easier for all of us to overreact, that’s the nature of the game. It’s clearly not a positive but if the coaching felt a strong message should be sent now rather than allowing little infractions or possible issues build up, then by all means, do so now. But we need to be careful not to read too much into this decision.

Same on K’Andre Miller. Per what I posted in the posted, the scratching didn’t appear to be a big deal. But good for the coach and team to send a quick message to Miller and the team, which may be why Kravtsov was scratched. Message send to the team.

I also chalk this up to them wanting to institute a winning culture at Hartford, which has never been the case before. They brought in a bunch of players, who although may be career minor leaguers, are putting serious effort into their entire game. Add that to the fact he was part of a losing culture in the KHL. Its something he needs to learn.

I was reading that his assignment in the AHL reduces his salary to $70,000 and that he might invoke European Assignment Clause that would return him to the KHL at least temporarily and return at the trade deadline. I realize its all speculation but...

. I’m told it was just a healthy scratch and he’s not injured. That’s all the team is saying for now. Not sure if it being the 2nd game of a back-to-back or anything else factored in. #NYR
