I don’t speak for women and if we actually spoke about movements, I have a lot of social worker friends, male and women, all of them will scoff at the « he is immature and drunk » defence vs talking about the person nd the vailidity if their complaint.

Btw stats would show that it’s actually gay men that suffer the most heinous and violent of abuses in society. I’m not making this me too or making it bigger then it is. But the persons complaint has value and should be respected.

You know that most serial killers have all had tendencies to kill animals or be rather violents towards small creatures during childhood. Should adults, or parents chalk that up to them as just being immature Nd Juvenal? Approaching someone’s car drunk and in group is not kind of the same? Have any of you with daughters asked them how they would take that situation and if they would feel comfortable accepting that it’s not a big deal because the group of people are drunk?

You're boring everyone with your completely useless internet opinions

Man I’m surprised at the hostility. It’s all good, this is a sports site. The level of intellectuality here is probably marginal at best.

For the record, he is not a rapist and his actions are small. But I don’t think it’s fair or appropriate to say that the being drunk and immature is somewhat justifiable for his actions.

I’ll excuse myself from the discussion. Be back to talk hockey!! Sorry, I’ll email the hurt feelings reports

At no point did I say the issues were her fault. I don't know what the issues were. From my experience, entitled people rarely accept responsibility for wrong-doing. So whether it was one-sided or mutual is irrelevant. Both sides would have felt justifiably to themselves that the other side was in the wrong.

Indirectly security guards work for the tenants; since they police the policies in and around the condo, which does include the behaviour of the residents as it pertains to respect for their neighbours and the property, the tenants can have no direct authority over the security personnel.

Oh ya, I was simply saying if he was having issues with her who do we think the issue is with. If she is an idiot (no prior instances have come out thus far), then she should be removed. However if his Dad had issues with her, what would that even be? Most buildings the only interaction he would have is entering with a visitor pass. And if his son lives there it would be a pretty quick walk through. So far there doesn't seem to be any records of prior issues from either side. Anyway, it's weird that's for sure.

Oh FFS, could you please quit the trolling?

Nobody in this whole franking incident has ever tried to justify his actions due to his inebriation.

It's not an excuse - it's an explanation.

But you know this. It's your bad trolling act, where you get to act all virtuous and tell yourself you've upset Leafs fans.

You haven't upset us.

You've just bored the poop out of us.

The condo board director directly told her that they would back the security guard, because they've had issues with "the tenant" in the past.

Not hard to conclude who the problem is.

Oh ya, forgot about that. I'm guessing he's had a few too many parties. Mathews should move into a detached home on an acreage somewhere like a lot of other guys do. Then who cares.

Haha far from it.

I have been far from clear in this back and forth, I was hoping for a bit more reading between the lines.

If you all think what he did was ok, not a big deal and we should just chalk it up to immaturity, all the power to you. I am far from someone who who throw the book at him, but found it a great opportunity to talk about it as something that we should champion to change as a culture or as something that would be normalized amongst men. Being immature and drunk or a celeb should not afford you the luxury to toss situations between other people aside. I felt her plight was being deminished because of some of the narratives being said. « Boys will be boys. Have you never done something stupid when you are drunk etc. »

You can all judge me like you want, call me what you want, but it doesn’t change the fact that men have been trash for ever, and that real change is needed. This situation smaller then small is a start. That’s all I really wanted to mention.

In all sincerity, sorry for poking the bear and for some of the all over the place posts.

truth, but when Anderson is not on, and the game has no penalties the leafs are not a playoff team.

when mcdavid goes down, the oilers are last

when crosby is injured the pens can struggle

the habs had a maginal price all year, worst pp and missed by 3 points... not as dire as you say.

- munky123

Leafs lead the league in games where they didn't get a single power play last season and had the least amount of total power plays last season, and got 100 points and made the playoffs.

We should try to put together a full lineup of players with douchebag dads.

Hyman
Matthews
Marner (although I don't actually believe he's done anything particularly heinous - at least not at the NHL level).
Bobby Ryan

Jack Johnson

Patrick O'Sullivan

I'm sure there's plenty of others.
