Yup. They're a hard working team.

Fun fact, 100% of their goals so far came from the crease. You'll see plenty of guys crashing the net and getting those rebounds.

And let's be fair, Leafs dominated the first two periods outrageously. Did they get tired at the end of back to back games? Maybe.

- Scabeh

we were told - without any room for misinterpretation - by a Flyers fan that no one should be tired on the second night of back to back games EVER... or the 3 game in 4 nights.

that's UNPOSSIBLE..

give credit where credit is due... Habs kept coming, got a couple of bounces and away you go...

BINGO!

truth, but when Anderson is not on, and the game has no penalties the leafs are not a playoff team.

when mcdavid goes down, the oilers are last

when crosby is injured the pens can struggle

the habs had a maginal price all year, worst pp and missed by 3 points... not as dire as you say.

- munky123

Your point is well taken, however you are incorrect about the penalty and PP stats.

I will be more of a believer in the Habs if they repeat their performance last year. They seemed to have a lot of guys have real big years last year.

I think the Atlantic is going to be a lot tougher this year.

Tampa Bay will be the same.

Boston will be the same.

Montreal barely missed the playoffs last year, and they haven't really lost anyone.

I predict Buffalo and Florida will be much better.

Ottawa and Detroit will still suck.

And the Leafs will be terrible because of cap problems and taxes and greedy Marner and Matthews wanting to leave and offer sheets and snakes.

But overall, it's going to be a tough division to crawl out of.

Same pace as leafs points.

It’s like the kucherov/Tb saga but I think Matthews can do this one with goals alone.

When Price is on, he is the best in the game.
When Price is not on, or the Habs play their backup, they are not a playoff team.

Something's gotta change in Tampa.

They need to get their poop together quickly or they're going to be toast. Incredibly lazy play.

leafs were the best 5v5 scoring team in the league and top 5 pp team in the league last year, correct? only finished 2-4 points above the habs? If they arent given the same PP time or if teams are more disciplined against them, can we not deduce the same thing as the price factor? Anderson has been facing more shots then any of his full time partners. I think last year or year b4 it was 700 more shots then the next goalie. If Anderson doesn't play lights out and the amount of PP's are less, do the leafs make the playoffs?

I dunno, i find those statements hard to swallow. Price show 8 years ago, no doubt but the habs were also one of the best scoring teams and during those years had the some of the best pp an pk.. The year of the conference final loss to kreiders kick to the knee. Anyways, those days are gone and the "supposed" insiders are to lazy to say anything new,.
