I think almost every player on this team sinks without Scheifele. I think Scheifele would bring out the best in these two guys. Very much the same way that Malkin was doing with Tanev in Pittsburgh.

Lowry has proven that without an Andrew Copp or a Joel Armia on his wing that he is not very good.

This all started with what do we need more Connor or Morrisey? I say Morrisey so if we “could” trade Connor for another Morrisey (young and team controlled) you do it all day cause it makes your team better

Rutherford wanted him last year at the deadline, but settled for Tanev in the offseason. Rutherford saw something in him.

Tanev has 1 assist in 3 games. I liked Tanev, sacrificed his body gave it 100% all the time but it was the best Jets Non contract that ever occurred.

3.5 for 6 years and NTC, Tanev scored.

OK Ross. I will agree with your fantasy land theory, that removing all the variables the Jets should trade Conner for a "Morrissey type" player

The reality is the entire NHL had all summer to sign or trade for Conner and it didn't happen, and now that the Jets have him signed they aren't trading him until at least the end of the season.
