I’ve said it before, I think 3 on 3 OT is crap. It’s toaly unnatural hockey. The rare time that 3 on 3 happens in game is fun because you have guys at random intervals getting out of the box and it’s not a sudden death situation. - Buffalo--Sabres
Yeah but I'd rather have a game decided by 3 on 3 then by shootout.
Shootouts are AWESOME when you are watching a game that you don't care which team wins. |

5 out of 6 points and we absolutely stole a point last night. just in the first 3 games this team is WAY different from last year. Oloffsson looks like a Legit Calder candidate and Miller has an absolute cannon for a shot. Skunk looks great and MOJO will score you 20 this year.
I still would like to get a proven RW on this team and even though its early, this team appears to be moving in the right direction...Finally.. |

not his fault coach put him on the second line, and our second line has been pretty damn good
would love a stat nerd to tell me how his corsi numbers are after 3 games and compare it to sheary and skunk
thanks in advance |

Easy fix. Reunite the Lockport Connection. I'd consider putting Reinhart there and let Vesey fail upward to L1. Or sheary to L1 |

+2 on a new team playing limited minutes with a young inconsistent center
you need to relax a little, it's 3 freaking games
put him with jack or johansson and you are having a wet dream with him and the joker |

So Vesey, who has done nothing is rewarded by a move up to line 2 and Okposo who has played quite well is kicked out of the lineup? Interesting |

No offense, but this is such a Sabres thing they do...play their players up a level, or two over their competence.
Here's the thing though, as has been stated by a few...they have Tage and Dylan coming, one of which is likely to be 2RW or a 2C in the case of Cozens. So our boy Sobotka is a placeholder for awhile, probably through the TDL for Tage, next season for Cozens.
It will be interesting to see how Botts handles it. |

This is a stretch. He hasn't been too much of a liability, yet, even factoring his tip-in goal. |

So does every team with holes in its roster, which is most of the league. |

he is playing fine D
winger is only as good as his center, and casey has done nothing the last 2 games
I would consider benching casey for e-rod for a game or 2 if the pod racer is going to stay on the second line |

I disagree. I know it’s splitting hairs but I think the shootout is a better measuring stick of which team is more talented. Elite goalies and shooters prevail. In 3 on 3 sudden death the game frequently punishes s team for trying to score. And you often seen offensive players exit the zone with the offensive zone with the puck which is unnatural. Just my opinion. |

Sheary on L1 is less ridiculous than Sobotka on L2. If they put this line together:
Skinner-Mojo-Reinhart
Mojo will get 55-60 points this year, which is desperately needed

I was actually agreeing with you.
Everyone was complaining about the shootout because it was a "gimmick". The solution was 3-on-3 overtime, which is actually just as much of a gimmick if not more. |
