Well he's a Carolina fan, what can you expect?

He's been so consistent his entire career, even puts up 38 goals last year. I can't believe they gave him up so they could sign EK to a max deal. Super risky move. EK does have more left in the tank if injuries haven't hobbled him, but still...moving on from a guy like Pavelski. Hard to replace those points.

Doug Wilson thought Pavelski would knuckle under and take a hometown discount to stay in San Jose. Pavelski likely told him to go F himself. And why shouldn't he? He gave the Sharks the best years of his career. Was the captain of the team. The heart and soul. You can't put a price on that.

Why should Pavelski take a haircut? Did Evander Kane? Did Erik Karlsson? No. As if Wilson thought Pavelski would roll over like Lebanc and Meier did. That's the problem when you get GMs who've been around a long time and believe they can get any player to bend to their will.

Sharks fans justified losing Pavelski because he no longer plays for them. Cheer for the laundry. If he's on my team then he's gold. If he isn't then he's dirt. But let's keep 55 year olds Joe Thornton and Patty Marleau because they don't know what to do with themselves after they retire.

I get that it's more of a PR move by the team.....but winning games is also a really good PR move, and Marleau doesn't help them in that regard.

Patrick Marleau was an absolute stud and a sure fire hall of famer, but its now 2019. Anyone who saw him play last year knows he's done as an NHLer. It is sad to see he can't move on with his life

He'll be fine as a 3rd or 4th liner. It's fine for the price and his role, but it's pretty much not even newsworthy. It's like any other $700k signing, in terms of on-ice impact.... Little to none. But it's a feel good story, which is always nice to have on the team.

Sharks are banged up right now. They just lost Sorensen. Marleau is a replacement player. Also they dont have the oldest lineup either. They literally have 5 players 30 and over.... MArleau, Thornton at 40, Burns at 34 and Vlasic at 32. Couture is at 30. Everyone else is under 30. Their average age is 27.8

It's only ignorant when he doesn't like hearing the truth. I had a Sharks fan on here tell me that Pavelski wasn't needed. Logan Couture would step up his production. He also told me Pavelski only scored goals because of Brent Burns.

At his best he was a player that put up enough points to justify being garbage in his own zone, which at least stopped him from a being a liability overall. Now, he doesn't do that, and he's got injury issues too. He's not worth $6M, let alone $11M.

It's funny looking back on all the Sens fans that were adamant that he wouldn't get scored on nearly as much on a better team, and would score so much more. Now it's just "it's only because his best days are behind him".
