Ek also had Canes missing the playoffs last season and they ended up playing in the ECF. I don't know what Ek has against that team. It's definitely personal. I mean the Hurricanes are a very good team. I don't know why anyone would pick them to finish last. Heck they might even win the East.

You will begin to appreciate the negative impact of Looch. Sure Neal wasn't contributing, but he wasn't working against the Flames either. Watching plays die on Lucic's stick (I mean perfect passes from McDavid) for 3 years was hard on all of us.
