I did not post call Wahlstom up now. It's very possible Wahlstrom might not need the entire year in Bridge. If he does so be it. You do not want Leo replaced so you tell me where MDC fits if he is not getting it done on the 2nd line? I want MDC to work out but he needs to start putting up points if he is going to be in the top 6. You just seem to want to argue every point. Have fun. It's not worth it. - ses111
Not arguing, But hearing about Aho, Bellows, etc. being up and should be playing is just getting old.
I don't think MDC is working out honestly. I find him slow and just not top 6 material quite honestly. Truely he may not be a consistent NHL player. But When Lou sign's Leo everyone says hey MDC is in BP he's better than Leo etc and he's just not. Now Walhstrom is in BP and we are going to hear how he should be up here now he's better than xyz blah blah blah. When he's ready he will be up.
Play away from the puck, and defensive responsibility is huge in the NHL.
As far as Leo being replaced, hell if they can get someone to replace him I'm all for it because getting better is the ultimate goal.

I'm not Dal Colle's biggest fan, personally. I like him as as player, but I don't think the offense is going to come for him, at least not significantly enough, and he's definitely slow. I see him as a good fourth liner or an OK third liner. Unfortunately I have a feeling it won't be for the Islanders. |

I don't think that MDC is a top 6 forward. He is certainly going 100% every shift (in my opinion). I don't think it's fair to see he "doesn't want it". It's just b/c he was such a high pick that he is assumed to be a top 6. I don't think that will end up being his role. He could end up being a very solid bottom 6 though and I am fine with that for him. I thought he would never make the team.
worth noting that although Matt Martin scored in the last game. His ice time was way, way, way, lower than almost everyone else. |

I can see him potentially tipping out as a decent third liner and carving out a career for himself which is fine to me but honestly I haven’t watched the last couple games because I’m away for work. Has he been that bad? |

The question is given Beauv play does he get moved up to 2nd line or you keep that line together? |

Honestly, No... it would help if Brock didn't get a friggin penalty every time that line was on the ice and Bailey wasn't... well Bailey. |

I really don’t think anyone’s saying that. Also, Lameriello and Trotz seem to like whatever he’s bringing which seems to be what most on here harp about constantly on here. I mean the usual answer to any criticism of Komarov is, “well I’ll just go with what Lameriello and Trotz think about Komarov because they know better than you (frank)ing idiot.”😂
There seems to be a different set of rules on here for MDC evidently 😂 |

I thought he played well .. honestly. There were a few guys out there who stunk that seem to get a pass. Bailey was his normal float show in the D-zone.. Kinda covering his D-man. Brock was not going into corners or making hard plays in either zone, Martin was not very good. Brassard was giving the puck away constantly. ... MDC was not the guy I would point blame. |

I think you have to take a breath and realize it’s one game. The guy doesn’t normally get a whole lot of penalties and Bailey is well. Bailey is bailey. |

I watched the first game in its entirety and thought Nelson looked great. I’ll chalk that last game up as a stinker for the team. Hopefully. I’m honestly more concerned with Varlamov then anyone else at this point. The snippets I’ve seen of him so far have been pretty terrible. Being out of position on multiple goals is not a good look. |

I get everyone is going to compare him to Lehner but I’m looking at him individually and so far albeit little it isn’t looking good. Hopefully he gets it together. |

I don't think he's been terrible, but he's just kinda.....meh. Not great, not terrible. He just exists, in my eyes. His game is as bland as bland can be. I don't think he's not hustling or trying, I just think his mobility is limited. I don't really like Toonsmoggle but if he can crank up the energy level a bit maybe it will be contagious. |

I'm not worried about them. They're buzzing and the lack of production won't last forever. This is why the team needs scoring though, when that line isn't producing someone else needs to pickup the slack. Nelson's line needs a shooter, which is why I think Wahlstrom will be called up at some point by Thanksgiving-ish. Maybe he sticks, maybe he doesn't....but he's going to get a look. |

Nelson needs to be that shooter. They need to get that out of him if we’re not getting any help from outside up front. He’s got a wicked wrist shot as we all know he’s got to start utilizing it. |

It's definitely too early in the season to be reaching any conclusions, but I was concerned about Brassard the day he was signed. All indications were that his game has fallen off the past couple seasons, that he's not the player he was when he was with the Rags. Of course, I'm hoping he's gonna prove me wrong.... |

I would put Beau with Barzal and Ebs.
Then Nelson Bailey and Lee.
