I would put Beau with Barzal and Ebs.
Then Nelson Bailey and Lee. - nyisles7

All kidding aside I agree. Not sure why Trotz is insisting on throwing lee and Barzal together again didn’t seem to work great before when he forced it. Also, seems Beau has earned a shot on the top line. |

Trotz did say that Moonjuggle is in, but not necessarily on the line he practiced with. I wouldn't be shocked to see that and then Tunegoggle-Brass-Leo |

It worked well in the playoffs and he probably was expecting that to keep working. I don't love Lee with them because of the speed difference. Not that Eberle is a burner, but he's quick. Beau and Barzal zipping around would be fun to watch. |

So
Beuvillier-Barzal-Eberle
Lee-Nelson-Bailey
Coon-Brassard-Komarov
Martin/MDC-Cizikas-Cluster(frank)
We’re all in agreement then? |

Yeah something along those lines but I’m not big on Kuhnhackl being in the line up. I believe he adds nothing but I haven’t really seen too much of the last couple of games. |

I could roll with that, yeah. Probably not going to help Brassard get himself a better deal next year, but idgaf |

Great write up Ben. I like that you brought up the good with the bad with Dobson. He certainly had a few bad turnovers and looked a bit lost at times. Most writers would have just brought up the great assist.
I agree on Leo too. He has played fantastic the first 3 games. He is certainly not the guy everyone on here loves but you have to give him the credit.
the only thing I would say on Varly is he HAS to stop that first goal. The rest was spot on .. - niteislander
Thanks for that!
While he's an A-level prospect it's important to note that he's obviously going to make mistakes early on.
I actually didn't hate the first goal on Varlamov because it was from a good location and was a pretty well-placed shot (it is part of a pattern though with him). I didn't like the second one from the side of the net because I thought it seemed like he wasn't ready for a shot. |

All in all Ben, I think the team in front of him was way to soft. Agree the 2nd goal was on him but all the rest he was moving from on side of the net to the other and a tic tac toe passing play where he shouldn’t be to blame.
Let’s hope the team steps it up for The Canes because if they don’t The Canes will embarrass them as did The Oilers. |

This is a huge game ! Carolina is 4-0, we're 1-2. It's not easy playing catch-up in this poopty playoff format. 8 points is hard to make up. It's a must win |

Game 4 of an 82 game season is a must win? It takes 10-15 games to get going. They’re still figuring out who’s gelling with who. |

In a perfect world the isles revamp the entire second line. How many years have we watched Bailey and Nelson be inconsistent? Yeah there are flashes here and there but both of them just don’t bring it on a nightly basis. |

Well yeah...that's kind of what second line players are. There's only a small handful of teams that have first line talent playing on the second line. Of course I'd like to see the Isles become one of them, but that typically involves some draft luck and patience. |

At what point do they have to start winning? Game 10, 15? For me every game is a must win game. |
