I'm also not sure why Bratt isn't in the SO considering he's pretty good at it |

Goddamnit it sure sucks when the refs decide a game like that. It was at least a good game. |

Whoever runs the P.K. needs to figure it the (frank) out. 6 for 12 this season is unbelievable |

The PP hasn't scored yet either. Special teams disaster. |

I mean it was a huge blown call on Hall, but we also had 3 separate leads in this game and couldn't hold any of them. This team still has a long way to go. |

bad as that ending was, NJ played their best game so far - and Hughes with Zacha showcased a lot more of Hughes because Zacha is one of the only guys out there giving him space.
Hughes actually had shots and made plays tonight. He's primed to have a breakout game.
Love Bratt with Gusev. Boqvist is simply the guy at the dance without a date, yet. It'll come. Someone will get injured or something and he'll come in. |

Maybe that is a bit strong. Forgive me, I am just a little mad. |

Remember when Devils had goals called back because of "intention" to blow the whistle. Pepperidge farm remembers. - devilspep
Very nicely done. |

No. Totally on point.
But it’ll lead to roster problems so we should pass for now. |

Agreed
They played better but it's still showing that we aren't where we could be
Up 4-0 game one loss
Blown out vs buffalo
Pathetic showing against division rival Philly
And had 3 leads last night and lost
Something needs to be done to get the season going in the correct way |

Couple questions:
1. Hynes and Hall: if Hynes gets canned, does Hall have any sort of loyalty to him?
2. Assuming Hynes gets canned (and given everyone’s observations about this team being a fast/attacking team), who would you consider a replacement that can work with this sort if a roster? A retread? Bylsma? Someone in AHL? Another assistant on an NHL team? - FLdevilsFAN
Bylsma? Yeah he’s a really good head coach. |

Fun fact. Of the 4 games played, in two of the games we were never trailing. I don't know if this helps or hurts more though. |

It is kinda funny/sad that if the shootouts went our way (I'm a believer that most shootouts are a coin flip) we could be 2-2-0 right now and would probably feel a lot better about life even with the team playing nearly identical games. |

it's a good thing. we gave a point to a western conference team. so it won't hurt us making the playoffs, and if we're not a playoff team and want to finish worse in the standings, it gives Edm a point! - MartysBetter88
Like the optimism
BTW - who's bright idea was it to have the POS #99 in the broadcast booth last night? I STILL REMEMBER! |

For any other team it's a coin flip
We haven't won a shootout in what 4 years it seems! Let alone score in one |

Four games in and I'm tired of watching this mess. Some things definitely looked better like Mueller and Wood didn't look completely lost... BUT this team seems to play a weak brand of hockey.
Even with the improved play I can't believe this team is going anywhere until there is a coaching change. It's the same garbage as last year with better players. So the skill level is up but collective they are still a mess.
Loved watching Goose and Bratt. Wish Boqvist could get in on this action. |
