I wonder how long Tage will year it up in the AHL before getting tapped on the shoulder - lulags
They've played 1 regular season game so far this year. Yes, he had 2 goals so he's off to a great start. But might want to let him get a few more games under his belt before we say he's "tearing it up in the AHL" |

Bjugstad, Kase, Ehlers
I'll take any of those guys. Or anyone else - jcragcrumple
He's injured......
Again.....
What's the point when he literally CAN'T stay in the lineup it seems? |

Think of it this way: he's getting his yearly injury out of the way now |

I guess that's one way of looking at it!
I've actually been a fan of his for awhile, but he seems to have lost his game or something among the injuries the last few years. If I could get the 2017/2018 version, I'd be down. But he has like 1 good year followed by a few bad ones before you get another good year. Very up and down career thus far. |

Soon I'd expect. He walked the line twice that I remember last night and the shot either got through or was close. Just need the right screen. Seems like he's looking back door or deflections most of the time.
He's not a scorer, but if we keep feeding the point from down low like we are, he'll get chances. - RhinoFan
He's at 42 games without his first. Record is Dave Hale who went 231 games before scoring their first goal, and Ken Danyko who had 256 games without a goal in general. |

The organization needs him. When it comes to power forwards, they are so desperate for one they have Sobotka trying to do that role. In the entire organization, only Tage and Cozens have much promise for that role.

How long do we allow our "3rd" Line to struggle this massively? Does Mitts need the Reino treatment and a move to wing?

I have wanted to see mitts on the wing for a long time now.
I think we have seen a large enough sample size of mitts to see that he cant handle 5V5 center minutes just yet |

Yes, Bjugstad has been pretty well derailed by injuries. '14-'15 he was looking like a future star, was a big part of late season run, played through a back injury until he had to stop. Next year was a concussion followed by recurring migraines that shut him down for awhile. Came back from that and hurt his knee, returning for the playoffs only to be injured yet again. The next preseason he broke his wrist.... 17/18 was just about the only year he wasn't out long term with significant injury. Sad to see him injured yet again. |

Banning him to the wing .... he will never come back. Reinhart treatment didn’t work center wise |

Tag has proven he’s too good for the AHL ..... he needs nhl game speed and minutes to get better. |

Yup .... I will never understand the people that think the AHL is good for him.
Mitts and tage are at the same points in their career. Just need to survive the nhl games while they grind through the season. They either figure it out or become busts |

For Tage to be considered a power forward, doesn't he need to show..., well show actual power...truculence? He plays like Bambi, although he apparently is trying to learn to drive the net.
Call him up when he is knocking people off the puck, he coming back hard and determined to get the puck back, and drives the net with abandon. |

I’m only pointing out a 3rd line that currently has 2 assists total. Vesey and mitts are not a fit |

I think everyone is happy. Discussions would be a bit boring if all we did was say Dahlin is good, Eichel is good.
If they were bad the discussion would be about who to fire. Discussing roster minutia is a sign that people are plugged in and thinking ahead. |

I actually bought center ice last night, easier then finding decent streams that don't lag
first time in a while I am pumped - homiedclown
I did the same thing this week! I regularly purchase Center Ice but haven't in the past 3 or 4 years because, you know....
This year is going to be something special.

Our lines should be:
Skinner/Eichel/Reinhart
Olofsson/Mojo/???
Vesey/Mittelstadt/Okposo
Girgensons/???/Sheary
Neither of those question marks should be Sobotka. Sheary is what he is: a 15 goal guy at most and a ghost for 2/3 of the season. Okposo has looked good, he needs to be moved up a line.
I honestly hope Larsson falls into the Niagara river. I have never loathed a hockey player as much as him. I'd take a 4th line of Adam Mair, Matt Ellis and Andrew Peters over him being on the roster at all. Playing 15 minutes a night, FFS, he's horrible.
Thompson doesn't deserve the NHL until he can dominate literally anywhere else. He is too good for the AHL but not good enough for the NHL and that's not going to change unless he gets mad and gets used to scoring. Keep him in Rochester.
Lazar should have already been on the big club. I think E-Rod is horrible.
