Until he has a bad stretch of games and Flyers fans run him out of town.
I think the Flyers are a bubble team. It's going to be tricky, because there are a lot of teams looking for a wild card: Buffalo, Montreal, Florida, Carolina, Islanders.
It's going to be tough to nab a spot in the playoffs.
But I guess that's what they play the regular season games for. - Atomic Wedgie
I had Philly squeaking into the last wild card spot before the season started.
I know it's early but Buffalo is looking pretty decent. They might take it from Philly.

I picked Buffalo as my "most surprising team."
It's funny - I hang out a bit in the Buffalo thread to talk about the Bills. I'd say I'm more optimistic about the Sabres than at least half of the Sabres fans in there.
What I meant was let's worry about making the playoffs right now.
Let's not worry about how we are going to do in the playoffs until around March. - Atomic Wedgie
I disagree.
You have to build a team to win in the playoffs, not to make them.
With all the financial advantages Leafs have, they should never have to worry about making the playoffs imo. If Leafs don't make the playoffs, it's because of incredible bad management and/or incredibly bad coaching or bad luck (injuries).

I switched around the wording.

Oh... Well, in that case... We're doomed... We can't be 2-2-1 and expect to go deep in the playoffs..
I mean look at Tampa Bay, they are 2-1-1, that's how you become a Cup contender..
I am suddenly regretting my fantasy hockey pool decisions. I didnt get any of this years breakout stars in JT Miller, or Kevin Hayes. Looks like I should just fold the team.

Don't get me wrong, I get it.
I'm a Leafs fan.
I get it all too well. - Atomic Wedgie
The last 3 playoff spots will be a tight race IMO. Six teams could all make it. Habs, Sabres, Devils, Flyers, Rangers and Pens alll have a chance.
