Hartman’s a beaut. Why can’t we have a Hartman? Horny deserved it, hope he’s not hurt, only for the sake of the logo.

I'd say thats the smart move. He does all that in front of the net, everybody gets worked up and wanting a piece of him and he just skates back to the bench after. Today it worked pretty well. Everybody got mad at him and forgot to play the game.

I’d say it’s embarrassing for the logo on the front of his sweater.

Picking McCann for my HBSL was not a wise move lol

EDIT: But I'm definitely glad I picked Sid and Letang

Why would you ever pick McCann lol

My lineup is killing it. I needed a cheap option who plays four games. Figured he'd be getting elevated time and notch a few.

EDIT: I'm up 420 to 355 fyi

There was absolutely no need for them having to spend the last few minutes of the game working this hard hahaha ...it's their own fault.

We could see it in preseason that he might be effective. So far he looks it.

I'm going to go off the board and say Adam Johnson first, then Blandisi. After that, not sure, I need some time to think about it.
- Hockey66

I'll go back on the board to take Lafferty as the next one.

Overall a good team win. Looked like all 4 offensive lines were contributing, Crosby's line especially. He has really risen with Malkin being out. So much fun to watch him.

Our younger call ups have provided a lot of good energy so far. Tanev has also been working hard. I'd say overall that has been a huge shift from the last two years to this year. A lot less focus on talent (obviously with our injuries) and just a lot of skill from the Crosby line, and blue collar working from the rest of the lines.

Marino has looked good, especially playing with Johnson. Have to think Sully is trying to keep Johnson in the lineup because they are trying to trade him.

I benched Crosby tonight in favor of Stamkos and Zib... Stupid move on my part...

486 to 395 here.

Do they have McCann listed as a center? I took Barzal for my cheap option at center with Sid, Marchy and Karlsson.

They do have him at center. I should sniff 500 by tomorrow at games end.

I agree with everything you say except that I think Guds is the one who gets traded because he is easier to trade, his replacement looks better (and is way cheaper, of course), and so far, JJ and Marino look like a decent third pairing.

Lafferty was impressive. I also think Adam Johnson got into the game early with the hit on Dumba. That line was flying and that hit seemed to take Dumba off his game. Dumba made some nice hits throughout the game but when the puck came near him he handled it like a grenade.

Simon is never going to be a goal scorer if he continually passes up Grade A chances. I remember twice he was open in the slot only to pass. Once to Geuntzel and once to Sid. Yes that was a nice pass to Crosby at the bottom of the circle, but I would rather have the open guy in the slot shoot.

So much homerism through the various outlets about Hornqvist. It makes you realize just how much this country doesn’t understand hockey.

Who are you going to replace him with? I don't see a single player on this team that consistently gets to the front of the net. Until the Pens get a replacement for him I can't see trading him.

Like it or not the league is trying to diminish fighting. Second, he never did fight plus he is now 32 with a history of concussions. It just doesn't make sense for him to drop the gloves.
