I repeat; every team has to have a player from the 2000's on it. It was clearly stated in the original team proposals, and he repeated it again in THIS blog. No one thinks Subban is better than Chelios. Reading is hard. 🤪 - PavohnDatsvares well then Andrei Markov over Subban |

cool idea!
but no damphousse, chelios recchi? i would think the metrics of this team would be better if they didn't have mantha or lalonde and you had chelios and recchi... Im guessing it all came down to which way they shot? of course everyone will have an opinion, these kind of things are rad for discussion!
add coach factor of bowman, irvin and blake |

PP1: forwards: Moore, Beliveau, M. Richard
Def: Harvey, Geoffrion
PP2: forwards: Shutt, Lemaire, Lafleur
Def: Robinson, Lapointe
PK 1: Lemaire, Morenz, Robinson, Savard
PK2: Beliveau, Moore, Harvey, Lapointe
Tho I would hate to do it, I would swap Roy for Plante.... and I would find room for Carbo and Gainey.....at the expense of a couple of the older players.... and I would swap Markov for PK |

Yes and by a mile. Markov always had good seasons putting up good numbers even tho he had often limited star power in front of him. Put Markov on the 2005 to 2015 Detroit Red Wings and he would be a perennial nhl all star.
Furthermore, one of the best skill/ability Markov had is that he was always in a perfect defensive position.
PK Subban is electrying at times but in general. Markov by a mile |

Adding a line of Gainey, Carbo and John
Ferguson would give you a great PK duo and
Someone to keep the other team honest....
Toughest call with the goalers.... I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them |

With all respect, I am fine with switching up the special teams for game 2... other than Steve Shutt never killed penalties...Jarvis/Gainey- Lemaire/Houle... depending on the situation, Serge Savard would take a shift up front on the PK.... but not Shutt... |
