Yeah, I would suggest taking the train and going to Gabriel's Gate.

The stop in front of your hotel is Lafayette Square. Take the train outbound to Allen st./Medical campus (it's free above ground).

Walk 3 blocks west to Gabriel's Gate.

Some of the better wings in the city. Great atmosphere.

Everyone has there favorites. Nothing wrong with any of the recommendations. 716 is a generic big city bar. Nothing special other than a ton of tv’s

Buffalo has so many prime locations dont waste your time at a bar you can go to in every city

Iv heard many many people of all ages and backrounds ( not just internet GM’s )that think gabriels gate is a top 3 wing in buffalo

Lol, but Yandle is a pretty funny guy. The joke he pulled on teammate Mackenzie Weegar this offseason was hilarious. Weegar lost two fights to Acciari last year. When Acciari signed, Yandle had his buddy pose as Acciari texting Weegar that he wanted his number.

I’ve been to 716. Love it. But you need to remember that I rarely encounter another Sabres fan in my daily life, so being in any bar packed with Sabres fans is a unique experience for me. I am big on going to places that I can’t goto at home and eating/drinking whatever is unique to where I’m visiting. I’ve been to many of the touristy places and some local joints I found by online research.

So not to start a war, what are the locals favorites for wings? I’ve been to anchor and duffs, which I know are the touristy places, but I also went to Bar Bill which I thought was pretty solid.

I got a Guinness from there a few weeks back. It had floaters in it. i was not amused.

Botts on GR said that bogosian injury / rehab might be awhile.
