Why can't they go for it this year, they have some work to do. They have pieces they can use to add to this roster, that won't jeopardize the future. Other then Bogo and Scandella there D-corps is pretty young, and they have some more coming up through the system, we have a few forwards that could be added with a RHD, to any package. Botts has done a pretty good job of replacing the cupboards that were left bare by TM. Maybe we don't have the so- called high end talent other then Cozens, but there's talent there.

I like Dahlin and think he will be very good, but don't know what games you have been watching, but he has been pretty bad defensively.

He chose 72M dollars over 8 years. Nobody was giving him $10.28M per year to play anywhere else over a 7 year term. Don’t kid yourself, he is here because of the money.

I'm referring to his selection of the Buffalo Sabres when the Trade occurred, part of the reason we got him for a steal as he invoked his Ltd NTC in order to come here, then played and lived a year here and you want me to believe he made his decision solely on whomever was willing to pay him the most?

Ok, you're intellect is limited.....

Oh so since you have knowledge of the situation which teams did he turn down ? How many teams extended offers to Carolina ? He chose Buffalo due to proximity to Toronto (where he’d most likely be right now if they had the cap to fit him in) well knowing he’d be playing with Eichel in a contact year.

Why did it take until June for him to resign in Buffalo ? Pacioretty and Stone took a combined 30 minutes to sign when they were dealt to Vegas. Skinner resigned because his agent bent Botts over the table and he got the term and money needed to stay.

Where was the hometown discount if he loved Buffalo so much ?

Remind me when one of those young guys close out a 2 goal lead.

I agree with the coach

It’s really easy to say this when they aren’t giving the chance.

But again, 19 and 55 flopping on the ice like fish seems like a sustainable model for success

Nice Stawman argument, I never said Buffalo Was his 1st Choice.
Everything I stated is fact, or what was expressed to the public. Signing his most important contract in his entire career with an organization and city is not determined by digits on contract.
I can justify he has earned his contract and plays with a consistent veteran effort and has an extremely rare combination of Skill and Maneuverability to his game. You obviously are jaded. There are no guarantees in life but I'm sure glad we signed him.

The head coach is playing the guys that he should be playing. We're 4-0-1.

I agree with him and strongly disagree with you.

No offense intended

That’s all fine and dandy.

19 and 55 couldn’t hold the lead when asked to. That’s the facts at hand

Dude! Nice I learned something new today....

Stephen Crane's 1895 novel The Red Badge of Courage. It can alternatively be used as a euphemism for punching someone in the jaw.

Thank you kindly.

Kinda went along with the theme 🙂

Also, chin music is referred to :when pictures throw at a batter's head in baseball

Damn, how far I'll left baseball. I had some great memories but just don't watch the playoffs, I didn't watch the NBA until MJ, and I switched from MLB Playoffs to NBA Playoffs, but i'm sure there's some sweet matchups right now.

This guy just knocked his second double on us and pointed at the bench, serve up some chin music if and check to see if his head is really enlarging during the game

Memba when we won 10 games in a row while getting outplayed in a good 7 of them?

Friday was similar.

I’m happy we won. I sincerely hope they don’t continue to park the bus and let teams come at them in games going forward

I think Krueger is excellent so far btw.

But I completely disagree with how Dahlin has been handled.

It’s like sitting McDavid or Matthews for going pointless for a few games.

You let stars play through slumps.

He’s the most important player in our organization. He needs to be on the ice in important situations

He's a big piece of the puzzle, not the only piece, he is very good offensively, but he has been bad defensively, Miller has covered up quite a few mistakes. And against the Cat's Ristolainen stick is being held by Barkov on that tying goal and McCabe tripped over I believe Larsson. McCabe should have cleared the puck about 10 seconds before that goal happened, but he wussy footed it around the boards. I really have no problem with Ristos play so far this year.

Lazar called up.

If there’s no injury to report, this is odd
