Let's face it, it's now been officially scientifically confirmed that Toronto and Tampa's seasons are over. Blow it up, tank, rebuild PROPERLY. - Zezel
We need to rebuild IMPROPERLY. |

John Madden.
Now thát was a #3/#4 C that could kill penalties and that you could trust final minutes of a game defending a lead.
I didn't know his son was drafted by Vancouver in 2018.. (#68ovr) |

both cities start with t and both teams are blue and white. is it a coincidence that they also both suck and should fold immediately? no. |

Don't draw conclusions based on nothing.
I like Boyle as a player, but he's hardly a physical player.
My guess is that Peter has a similar opinion on him. - MaximusAurelius
Here's a little basis instead of your made up crap. I'm not a huge hit stat guy but it's all we have. here's the Last year (they have lesser hitters now): https://www.hockey-refere...e.com/teams/TOR/2019.html Here's Boiler: https://www.hockey-refere...e.com/teams/TOR/2019.html
He averages 2 hits a game. More than any Leaf forward. Kermit and Spezza basically don't hit hardly ever numbers wise and Boyle scores more than Spezza.
He sucks I guess and is worthless. Thanks Max for steering me away fro actual data and evidence in favour of your anecdotal nonsense. |

why are you even arguing this?
anybody that has seen boyle play hockey over the last 10+ seasons knows that he isn't a huge hitter nor a physical deterrent to keep opposing players 'in check'. you are trying to sell him as a matt martin / dustin brown clone. he is not.
we already said he's a good player and a player leafs could use. |

They're both pure trash.
I would like to see a series between them because the blue and white against colours are nice. I also enjoy seeing the Habs and Wings play, for the colours. When Pitt was in the final against Nashville that was like someone barfed on the screen. |

Yeah, Boyle and Phaneuf would help this team. There’s no cap for them, but no reasonable hockey person would argue the fact they would each play a role that is currently lacking. Just my take. |

I actually can't argue this at all, because I did by chance read an article the other day about the fact that no one in the Leafs dressing room really wants to be in charge of the stereo, which used to be Gardiner's job. It's fallen to Marner but he sounds like an ambivalent DJ and his cuts get a lot of flak from the group. So amazingly, yes, there is a role for Phaneuf on the Leafs right now and dressing room DJ does not even fall under the cap so your take is spot on! |

I think you might have a different view on Phaneuf at Spezza money, Big Bird. |

Top five team in the league at the moment. Oilers, Canes, Sabers, Ducks, Wings.... Is it honestly gonna stay that way. Most other Top teams are struggling not just the Leafs. Looks like there all following the Model the Blues set last year. Slack off for the first two thirds of the season, turn it on when it matters, win the cup.... Food for thought before everyone dismantles the Leafs. Just sayin. |
