His inflexibility is really starting to grate on me so far this year. I'm borderline OCD right now, but Kap's gotta get off that wing.

Moore and Kapanen swap seems so painfully obvious to me, but it's likely a trust issue as Moore has like 30 games under his belt so far and to go from the 4th line to the top matchup line is a big leap...
... having said that, you can't try it for a few shifts and see how it goes?

Dont get me wrong i do like Babs but sometimes his poop bugs me. Last year he preached that he hated players on there off wing. This year he (frank)s over two lines because of it. I dont get it.

It’s early, 3rd line is also playing well. I doubt he’s too worried about JT and Marner, they’ll get it going. Dominate every game and play poor D ( as was predicted by some ) and then blame the coach..I don’t see it, but to each their own.

I'm a moderate, right in the sweet spot between the sky-is-falling and everything-is-fine crowd.

Because it's been 5 games and every line/pairing has at least one new face on it, I'm not ready to lose my mind.

I also firmly believe in committing to a strategic plan and the Leafs are betting that skill can win a cup.

If we're still treading water in a couple of years, yeah, Babcock is probably gone, Dubas would be on thin ice and we'll see a heavier style of play.

Look at TBL: yeah, they're a better team right now, but they're also quite a bit older too: Stamkos, Kucherov, Hedman are all well into their prime; same with the Bruins and Blues.

Our core is young. Only Matthews has really filled out and he's only going to get bigger/stronger/grizzled as he gets older.

That makes a huge (frank)ing difference in how physical you can play, how strong you are on the puck.

Look at Kadri for the first few years in the league: he was always getting knocked off the puck, then he bulked up (and was called out by Eakins for it) and eventually rounded out in his mid 20s and now he's one of the more physical forwards in the league.

That broken stick gaff, playing on your off-wing on the top line against tough matchups, PK1 minutes to boot, isn't really a recipe for success.

I would honestly switch him and AJ if they want to preserve the 3rd line. At least Kappy has experience playing with Matthews and they face 2nd line competition when they're at home.

No team will ever be perfect. TB was brutal the first 3 games...did they say fire cooper? No. Stop being silly.

Supposedly AM told someone he doesn’t want to play with Kap, maybe they don’t want to bust Kap’s confidence bouncing him off that line....I wouldn’t mind Moore with JT either....just kind of guessing what’s going on. We’ll probably blow the doors of Detroit and everyone will be happy again for a couple days.

That side is the one that's not panicking about 5 games into the season when really the only game the Leafs have sucked was the game against Tampa.

Tampa should have traded all their players after getting completely outplayedby the canes earlier this week.
