That was an awful period, so tired of the backhand flip or chip shot out of their own end because they can't nut up and work the puck up the ice.

Dump the puck and forecheck and work hard as a team to generate a shot but no they are sprinting up the ice and trying to do it all themselves

defense looks better with actual NHL dmen on the ice, but was that Stromes guy all alone in front of the goalie or was that Murphy's?

If there is anything “encouraging” about the first 3 games it’s that they’ve been in games with very little production from top-6 skaters - the 30/40 goal scorers and assistors.

Toews, deBrincat, Strome, Nylander / Perlini, Kane - almost nothing going on thru 8 periods.

These are proven stars, proven producers - they can’t remain invisible for much longer.

I think it's because for whatever reason he does not want to handle the puck, he's a better player when he's a bit more selfish with it. The only better linemate he'll ever have handling it will be Kane, he should be skating it down and if he can't skate it in shooting it in while Caggiula and Cat go and get it
