It's so nice to have 5 NHL dmen back on the Hawks, Corey bailed their slow asses out a few times but they returned the favor by so many one and done's |

ADB has struggled so far this year. All 4 games this year. Still a small sample. - -Doh-
Yup. I mentioned before that was a whiny comment by me out of frustration. |

Yeah. He's playing great on the third line. Let's break up that line. |

Kudos to Nylander as well, kid skated hard and scored a really big goal in the 3rd as well. He also made some nice plays with his stickhandling. 2 goals in 3 games, not bad for a kid that has been jerked around some by the coaching staff early on. |

It is unquestionable who the more talented net-minder is.
It's a matter of health permitting Crawford to play. - TommyHawk
i want to make it very clear. Myself never had a question as to talent or drive. Crawford came out tonight with "Not One" in his head. That is a starting goalie. It could have been 4-2 easily tonight and he said no. I know JC reads these boards so I'm trying to send a message |

Really "unquestionable". Lehner has played one game and played very well. You can say Crow has had a better career, for sure. But he has played on better teams too. If they play the rest of the year like they did the last two games, I like our chances.

(frank) the oil and glad saad got that...great game by him - bogiedoc
Really was. Like a couple have said, the third line was great again tonight. Toews got going a bit and I think given time 65 17 88 could be a good line too. |

Re-acquiring Shaw was a great move. Sure, with Shaw we need to take the good with the bad, but he brings a lot of what last years team lacked. |

Next game is Friday - 4 days away. Whatever will the Legion of Doom do to get through these 4 days after this nicely played win? |

ADB was fine tonight. He was around the play a lot, and made some nice plays without the puck. He will be fine. |

Agreed thought he had a solid game.
If Dach can contribute our forwards will be looking very deep and scary. The bottom 6 is much better than I thought it would be. Solid overall team improvement from game to game, and we could(should to be quite honest) very easily be 3-1 |

No. The point was always to get a solid backup, and we got one. Lehner is competitive and will likely want more starts than he will get, but it doesn't look like we will need to be frightened about the depth behind Corey this year. |

I think he has potential 25+goal potential. He is a natural scorer. They are hard to come by. But you have to put up with inconsistent effort or hope that he grows into a more complete player. I am willing to play him and give him en extended tryout (30+ games) to prove himself. But some nights he is going to give you migraines. You just have to live through that. Maybe by the end of the year you will be pleased (or you trade him at the TDL for a pick). |

Not admit that their whining was premature and illogical that’s for sure. |

This really was a big win tonight they needed this.
I guess if you give up no goals 5 on 5, you can give up a special teams goal.
They played all of them well except for Keith not being in position
It's great not seeing Gusto on the ice the last 5 minutes |

The defense looked good too. Hopefully with more playing time together they get even better. |

I doubt we’ll have many people complaining about a lack of physicality and toughness with this roster. For the first time in forever. |

Not a single forward over 20 minutes, but the top 2.... Kane and Kampf (19.21 and 18.02 respectively). McD and Draisaitl both 26+ for reference. Leon with 3 shots on goal and McD with 2.
That is some solid D.
Edit: And apparently I've forgotten what a colon is. |

Agree. During and after the game I hardly thought about Colliton's system. Just think if we had 6 NHL defensemen and two great goalies (one great goalie per game). We might give up less than 40 shots and 4 goals per game more often. Maybe win more than lose too. Ok that last sentence went too far.
