Why keep posting trades involving Jets when the Leafs already have the leagues most dreadful defence? If any team needs to trade offence for defence, it is the Leafs.

Laine is soft, and even though there are injury concerns with Patrick, no way I do that. Maybe Rubstov or Hagg (though I would be very hesitant to deal Hagg) and a pick.

Absolutely not...way too early to tell how well Dobson plays out... isles management is good now, they don’t expect to win the cup now. Laine is great, but that cornerstone Dman that Dobson has the potential to be, that’s invaluable.

In example, refer to Chara and the draft pick that became Jason Spezza... for a couple halfway decent showings from Alexei Yashin. Different players but potentially the same scenario. I’ll pass lol

D-men are far from a guarantee in the NHL when kids like Dobson. Yes, he is a prized prospect but Laine is MUCH MORE of a known quantity.

The Isles aren't trading Dobson. They had a chance to sign Laine to an offer sheet and give up most likely late found draft 1st round picks. Why would they give up this kid? That's not to say they couldn't use him but this site had had the Isles in on basically every UFA, RFA and unhappy player. I'll believe it if I see it.
