Yes I can Jim, cause I see it as a lost cause, gets us nowhere quickly. We have so many holes up and down the line up that Panarin will be just another big ticket name on a long list of big ticket name busts on Broadway.

Not sure what you are talking about. We discussed putting a power forward on the top line and dropping a skilled winger to the 2nd line to balance the top 2 lines. Some reason that really bothered you.

I understand what you wrote but do you? You want to put the second coming of Christ on the first line after 3 games? I mean like really?? Doesnt he have enough pressure as an 18yo in the Big Apple. I mean shouldnt we like ease him in a bit? Maybe after he is a 10 game veteran he should be on the first line huh?? So much for developing these kids.

Yeah I always assumed Nanne wouldnt pan out. He's a senior this year so I doubt we should expect anything

I think the sad thing is parsed within that is a valid point: maybe we should give Kakko time to get acclimated. I just can’t understand though how someone just thinks everyone is gonna be a bust.

Top heavy team??? The Rangers have 3 bonafide scorers Zib, Panarin and Kreids. The rest of the players are prospects and hopefuls. Nobody else has shown an inkling of potential yet. Pavel Im hoping finds it this year. Who knows what the game plan with Anderson is, Kravtsov will wind back in the KHL by years end and Brady is playing his way to Seattle.

Yes 3 games in 6 weeks, Ha Ha thats funny. Like you said Skippy, its been 3 games, only one since the Rangers havent scored more than 4 goals and the naysayers are crying for changes. LOL

- Brukie

Yes a team that has a really good first line and not much else is top heavy, but don't let facts get in the way of your narrative. Should I throw in a bunch of emoji's to try to emphasize my point? Will it make mine more valid than yours? Should I call you champ or buddy?

The flip side of that is you are putting Kakko with 2 fantastic vets and giving him every chance to succeed. The kid plays like an NHLer, not sure why we have to keep him with another power forward and a subpar center

I think we both agree that he will wind up there sooner than later. I think to your point though, maybe you slowly transition to that. You could play him there just PP1 for instance. Im really wondering though if Howden and Kakko can click. That could be a fun line if things go right.

Yeah I don't mind waiting, just something to talk about. Just think it makes sense to split up Kreider and Kakko. One power forward on each line

Plus Buch and Kreids have had chemistry

I just want to give it a couple games esp if they are putting Howden up there. I think Kakko could help Howden take off in a way that Buch couldnt based on his obvious skill set. If Buch isnt doing much at the 8 game mark on the 1st line then you could make a tweak.

You may ask, but pipe down, er no. I will voice my opinion just as you do. Im sorry if I think I think that a comment is ridiculous I will point it out. As you may have noticed I dont go with the flow.

Its funny how you say I bash people for there ridiculous thoughts, yet when I get bashed for my sensible thoughts, I dont see you sticking up for me, Im kinda hurt by that.

that cheese!!

- Brukie

Dude, your "sensible" thoughts have been tossed around as some of our "ridiculous" thoughts over the past months, so I guess the only reason you get bashed is your horrible attitude. If you can't see the difference between saying they should try switching 2 wingers and telling people that they are a bunch of crying, whining cheese eaters, then I am done trying to be reasonable with you. I'll just go back to flagging every comment you make that has a derogatory line in it and let the Mods sort it out.
Have a nice day.

Howden does need help defensively, wonder if Kakko and Krieds will camouflage that. I know he’s still very young, but if Howden flops here, you wonder what his future will be

I have wondered whether or not there is ultimately room for both Lias and Howden on this roster as time passes

I would say the hope is that there isn’t. For the reason that Chytil excels, some like like Henrikson makes the team, and maybe someone like Barron continues to surprise. When you have a successful rebuild, there’s just gonna be guys that aren’t part of the team no matter how good they are. There’s scenarios where Lias and Howden are good and both aren’t here long term

Yeah I have no issue trying different things. Its not even I'm against Buch being there. My reasons are more about balance.
