I mean... what would you do in a game of Seven Minutes in Heaven with Gudbranson? Would you touch it?
- Rinosaur

His beard? Definitely.

Obviously when healthy a few players are going back to WBS, but man, I'd love to see a 4th line of A.Johnson-Blueger-Lafferty
- Rinosaur

If the Pens ever get healthy, they have to waive or trade somebody just to make a spot for Marino, let alone Lafferty an Johnson.

Lafferty I could see sticking on merit, but that numbers game won't help. Should be a while until we have to decide though. I'm still hopeful Kahun comes around.

I think Kahun is improving... It's a new system and I hope that's the reason.

Yes. Guds-Marino.

Guds definitely doesn't look too comfortable on his off-side.

- Rinosaur

Yeah, one of my pleasant surprises with Gudbranson is he usually tries to make a pass rather than just panic blast it off the boards. On his off-side, that's what he's doing though. Thought they'd try Marino on the left first.

There's a lot of interesting things happening right now. You look at the emergence of these young forwards, McCann showing capable of playing Center and Marino as a possibility on the 3rd pair.

What does this do? Makes you able to consider moving guys like Rust and Bjugstad (who I both like) and like you said, is Kahun a trade chip or even ZAR.

Gudbranson I think is very tradable and you could use one of the aforementioned players to move Johnson.

A lot of options emerging for the Pens.

Now, I obviously stated I think Marino should go to WBS, but with everything that could happen if the Pens trade Schultz and made a major upgrade at LD on the 2nd pair, you could possibly try Marino there if the partner is strong enough. This leaves Pettersson as LD for the 3rd pair with Gudbranson.

It was a very boring period of hockey, but I thought the Pens played well. That Guds/Marino pair is just terrible right now. Guds on his off-side is just not working.

So choppy. Neither team could get any momentum I thought the jets had the better of the play towards the end.

Morino was with Shultz and 28 and 44 back together. I think that makes more sense. A lot more.

I'm not sure who you'd get. They glaringly need another option at 3LD, that's a bigger issue than Gudbranson or Marino

I like the potential in Marino's game, but I agree with guys like you and madmike he could use a little time in the minors. He can work on his game there until Letang's eventual injury.

Here's the big ifs...

-If McCann can take over 3C which I'm now confident he can

-If at least one of A.Johnson or Lafferty can continue to produce a reasonable amount for 4th line production

Bjugstand and/or Rust become expendable. I would look at teams like MIN. You may be able to build a package around on of those guys for Brodin.

You could maybe package Kahun, ZAR or Rust with JJ or something like that to OTT

Again, these are a lot of big-ifs.

I think an uneventful game favor the Pens who have to be exhausted of that crazy game last night. The more they can conserve the more than can be ready to strike late.

Bad for WPG to take that kind of penalty after dominating territory for a while.
