Are Vets that are still pretty young themself, learning a new system and made some mistakes, yes they need to be better, but Dahlin is more offensive right know, he kinda reminds me of Ristolainen at his age, don't get me wrong Dahlin is gonna be a superstar, but why hurt his growth before it has really started, isn't that what they did to Myers and Risto |

So you and others bagged on Risto for his reliance on power play points but when 71% of Dahlins points have come on the PP, you use his even strenght point pace?
Got it - Michael Pachla
Dude, Dahlin is on pace for plenty of 5 on 5 points. And even MORE PP points than Risto had.
Is Risto still a 40 point D man off the PP? |

He hasn't played well 5v5. - Michael Pachla
I don't think so either, but I don't mind him giving it a little more time. Right now, I give JB and Ralph the benefit of any doubt.

It'll go unanswered and the narrative will switch to the Lockport Twins or Bogosian. Maybe with a touch of E Kane or ROR thrown in for good measure - Michael Pachla

As well he should. He's a first overall pick touted as a franchise defenseman |

Well done. Knew that would come out at some point0 |

Not a hack, you are getting mad because what he said is true. Nobody has said Risto or McCabe shouldn't have did things differently, but there are 3 forwards out there to, and Dahlin is better right know in a offensive approach |

Right. As in don’t try and sit back on a lead and let a team do what they want.

Dahlin was not one of their best players. Thats why Krueger sat him. It's really that simple. The Cats arent the tank-era Sabres. They're a big, fast and talented team coached by a future Hall of Famer. They tied the score. It happens |

Jack Eichel was one of our worst players against Columbus.
Imagine sitting him.
Rasmus Dahlin is undoubtedly one of this teams best hockey players. Benching him is ludicrous and Krueger deserved to lose that game. |

Jack Eichel makes awful play to give Columbus OT goal.
Imagine he gets sat for a majority of the MTL game as a result, and doesn’t get 4 points |

Jack was the worst Buffalo player, imo. But he's also a four-year vet who plays forward...
from the time dahlin was benched with 8:23 left until the panthers pulled their goalie with 2:03 left Buffalo had two shots on goal and Florida one...after they pulled their goalie they pumped five shots on goal with the final one going in |

I’d be interested to see how he’d play. Hope he wouldn’t come up just to sit. |

Dahlin has been absolutely horrible in his own zone this year. He's been lackadaisical with the puck, he is having mental lapses and trouble concentrating. He looks too casual at times, no sense of urgency.
He's incredible in the other team's zone and on the PP. His neutral game needs some work but it's not an issue atm.
He's having growing pains. He will improve on the back end with time. He's incredibly talented and highly skilled.
He is a points machine so far this season but even though he's not on the ice for too many GA, he's been lucky with a lot of his mistakes and he's been taking bad penalties.
An exciting player, and at times a little frustrating right now but he's far and away our best defenseman, even as a 19-year old who's a liability in his own end right now. He'll tighten it up as the season progresses, I would expect. - BeadyEyedDouche
Counterpoint : Dahlin has been just fine in his own zone.

Pretty good chance he is coming to do just that, unless there's another injury we don't know about. |

So without Chubb who we lost for the season to a torn ACL the Broncos shut out the Titans in the first half and forced Mariota to throw his first pick of the year and sacked him three times. The Titans did not run a single play on the Broncos side of the field.
Either the Broncos defence is elite or maybe the Bills defence is not as elite as you guys think they are. |

From the start of the third period until Dahlin was benched:
--Florida outshot the Sabres 13-3
--Four of those shots came while the Sabers were shorthanded
--five came with Dahlin on the ice
For Dahlin's final shift of the third period:
--Panthers had the puck in Buffalo's zone for :58 seconds
--they had two shots from close range
Dahlin's sequence chronologically in that time went like this:
--out worked behind his net, Fla shot on goal
--had puck jump his stick, Fla maintains zone time
--misplayed puck behind the net
--turned the puck over behind the net
--sent puck around boards to an open wing, Fla maintains zone time
--outworked again for the puck, shot on goal
--Ullmark makes save
--TV time out
