I know +|- is a weird stat, but SJ Karlsson -8 so far, Burns -4, Dahlin +2, Hedman -4.
Sure he has struggled, but that’s not looking so bad. Not to mention, most of the assists he has are on the PP so that does not count as +, which makes his number look even better.
Edit: as stated below, I only care about wins, so I am not too crazy about Dahlin’s playing time, but Dahlin is known for making smart plays, not so sure the others are known for that. I want wins and the best players on the ice to get that done. - Lilroot9
Buffalo +8
Tampa +3
San Jose -11
The one that stands out there is Hedman. |

I played hockey badly at several levels and various positions. Am I qualified to give an opinion? - jcragcrumple
Yeah, let's refresh some of your opinions.
28 and 22 suck
Erod is the 3rd fastest guy on the team
Erod is gonna have between 35-50,points
Erod sucks, he should be out for lazar.
Only thing saving him, so far, is vesey's play
Erod falls more then girgensons |

So Because Mittelstadt won it in a shootout, he made the right call benching a star player?
Are we literally ignoring the fact that they blew the lead? Like i could agree with this point if we tightened up after he shortened the bench. But they didn’t. They got sloppy and they flopped around the ice the last minute like they were all rookies. - OneKaneOneCup
Well, Larsson flopped anyway. Risto went to the ice after the goal was scored where his stick was blatantly held, otherwise no chance that puck goes in. But keep going, you're doing great so far... |

Krueger saw what many others did, the Panthers almost scored every time he was on the ice in those three minutes. They were on their heels because the Panthers played much better than they did in the second, not because they parked a bus, or something. The kid will undoubtedly grow into being more ready for that situation, but he looked very shaky in his own zone last game 3rd period. - Ratsreign

I liked lazar a lot. The record will show that.
My boy is disappointing me, but it's tough because he's playing limited minutes.
The twins are playing some great hockey.
Sobotka still sucks

Jack Roslovic is playing really good in an increased role.
There’s a move to be made here |

I’d still be talking about the benching because it’s a silly thing to do to a budding star player IMO. You let guys like that play through it - OneKaneOneCup
If the coaches see that he's struggling why would they continue to throw him out there if they're trying to win? |

Just remember the goalie who’s stole us 3 points already this year isn’t as important to us as William Carrier would be.
I see now why you rarely post your opinions, and just criticize others. - OneKaneOneCup
Ullmark does many of the same things Lehner used to do, but no one seems to say anything. He has an immense amount of trouble getting back into position after making the initial stop. All the other team has to do is get him moving a little bit and all sorts of holes open up. Unless he somehow works that out, he'll never be a starting caliber goalie. He's fine as a backup playing ~20 games, but he can not be relied upon to shoulder the load, and hopefully with UPL, he won't have to be. |

Wow, very accommodating this evening.
I like erod too, hopefully it's a system thing, but he looks out of place.
I thought I would boo vesey the 1st time he had the puck at home, then move on. Unfortunately, thru 3 games he hasn't had long enough.

Don't be bashful, when he didn't get traded and you threw your little temper tantrum you said he sucked, without qualifiers. Just plain sucks, and that Botterill should just get rid of him for anything. |

Yes, I think he sucks. He’s a 4/5 D man. As a number 1/2 he’s bad.
I think he had a great start in games 1-2 and it’s slowly getting back to suckville |

Erod hasn't been good. I hope he improves. He's best at 5-on-5 and short handed so I hope gets some more time there
But I loved Lazar's game in the preseason, so I'd be pumped to see him get some action. He has some jam |

I could see erod taking vesey's pk time.
I think Lazar is along for a vacation, unless the lose a one sided game. I liked his game too.
The Sabres seem to be making all the right moves in my opinion. Coaching and management.

It's hard to figure that out.
Clearly we lack a 6th forward.
He does add some grit and physical protection for Johansson and skins.
Hard to believe he is pointless so far, regardless of talent.
I could see giving him a shot for a bit longer and waiving/trading him for a 7th and bringing up tage if the season starts going south |

Mitts is on a slow curve right now. But he's been getting a real good feel for his defensive responsibilities as an NHL center - Michael Pachla
His parents came in last weekend & i was talking with them for a bit
They said he was very overwhelmed mentally last year with everything that went into playing the Center position
Also said he felt much more comfortable this year, but maybe some time on the wing wouldn’t hurt?
Put E Rod back at center where he plays best |

From the start of the third period until Dahlin was benched:
--Florida outshot the Sabres 13-3
--Four of those shots came while the Sabers were shorthanded
--five came with Dahlin on the ice
For Dahlin's final shift of the third period:
--Panthers had the puck in Buffalo's zone for :58 seconds
--they had two shots from close range
Dahlin's sequence chronologically in that time went like this:
--out worked behind his net, Fla shot on goal
--had puck jump his stick, Fla maintains zone time
--misplayed puck behind the net
--turned the puck over behind the net
--sent puck around boards to an open wing, Fla maintains zone time
--outworked again for the puck, shot on goal
--Ullmark makes save
--TV time out
end of story - Michael Pachla
Sounds like he has been taking notes watching Risto.
