Burkie says Wahlstrom is wearing 26, too. A final "(frank) you" to JHS

In all honesty I can’t see us getting either😂

Probably right, Laine would be tougher than Hall though, especially if he doesn’t want to sign in NJ and wants to go the FA route as Most high end FA’s have done in the last couple years.

Goes to show that, while we all make a big deal out of opening night rosters and lineups, it all can change so fast and patience is probably the better course. Dobson playing in game 3 instead of game 1 isn't going to have dramatic consequences on his development, Ho-Sang playing four games in the AHL before a call-up wouldn't have ended his NHL dreams, etc.

Eberle day to day per Trotz. Wahlstrom to make #Isles debut today.

Good news is that Eberle's thing doesn't appear too serious. I hope they let him ride shotgun with Barzal, but not holding my breath.

#Isles said he'll put today's lines in a bit of a "blender." So, at some point, expect Oliver Wahlstrom to get some shifts with Mathew Barzal.

Hope the Kid comes up and plays well and boots MDC out of the lineup for good.

Yeah I've had about enough of that experiment. He'd be a fine extra forward, but that's about it.

I'd really love to see Wahlstrom get a chance playing LW on the PP and getting setup for the one-timer. Certainly not expecting it off the bat, but with a shot like his that seems like something to work towards with him.

If the Islanders were ever going to try and capitalize on the market and trade a defenseman or two, now would be a good time with the Coyotes and Jets both having injury (and other, in the Jets case) issues on the blueline.

Gotta think he gets a shot on the PP. Shooting/offense certainly is his forte.

Agreed, I’m sure after Lou swung and missed on Panarin he is certainly monitoring any team that are looking for D help who are long on scoring forwards.
