Dallas Goedert backup TE in Philly. Cowboys wanted him badly in the draft, Philly traded up to cock block them. He can run, block and catch but he's stuck behind Ertz.

Eagles will probably want a cornerback though, or a draft pick that they can use to trade for a cornerback.


I'd rather see them package Ertz + a pick or 2 for Ramsey and start Goedert. He's legit.

One more good draft would really help. I really would like to see decent draft placement in each round.

I love Doughty’s comments, he’s colourful, the league needs that.

As for his contract. Why? The contract is large, no question, but he’s 29 FFS, he’s one of the best dmen in the league and he probably has five more productive years.

Last year he had 45 points, his fifth most productive season of his eleven, 60-59-51-46-45, and everyone is talk8ng like he was awful last year?

If you add context to that though it really isn’t as bad as you’re making it out to be, does he make too much, sure, he should be around 9.5 million. That said, he was 18th in scoring for defensemen, if you look at the forwards 16th to 20th in scoring there’s a bunch of guys in the same boat.

Ovechkin, Tavares and Giroux were in that group.
