I know this isn’t a popular opinion, especially with quite a few revisionist armchair GM’s in here.

Overall I like what Benning has accomplished here in Vancouver, sure we all dislike the Eriksson acquisition, but I like Sutter and Beagle, I like the Miller acquisition, Ferland will hopefully come around soon, but I like what Benning is trying to achieve.

I like the team and I think it’s up to the coaching staff to get the best out of all the players, so I have decided to give Green the benefit of doubt, at least until the train starts to derail. That statement is just for you golfingsince, hope everyone is having a great thanksgiving day.

Yeah gotta love seeing Holtby staring up at the video replay after letting in each goal with that big stupid look on his face.

Gonna be interesting to see what they do with the Backstrom & Holtbys UFA contracts.

Sure. Benning is obviously not some genius who calculated everything perfectly to get to this point. The game of hockey has a lot of chance and luck, as does drafting and player development and injuries and life in general. I think Benning has done a good job of adjusting his strategy to the outcomes and circumstances. He's had shortcomings but he's managed to get the team into a promising situation.
