Looked like a head shot to me - kid bounced up and didn't miss a shift. Didn't like the hit and thought it was a dirty play - but haven't seen a replay. Should there have been retribution? From a personal view absolutely, from the standpoint of logic - win the game instead. - winsix
Leafs won the game, but some things more important.

It's not some stupid code I've made up. I had nothing to do with said stupid code. It's employed by nearly all of the other teams in the league. Just not the Leafs. Like when Weber clobbered Snakes, nothing. Just nothing from the Leafs. Nada. So soulless. Do you think the players think any of their teammates have their backs? Or do you think it's more of a fend for yourself type attitude? - walshyleafsfan
Watch other games where a player gets hit clean, you’ll rarely see a response.
If it’s dirty or questionable? Absolutely. But you are using an example here that doesn’t help your argument whatsoever. It was a clean hit and it happens all the time. Move on from it. |

Well seems to me that you think the first 4 or 5 games tells the whole damn story you have some ironic posts on here.
They have a new PP a coach and some new players, give them more than 5/6 games ffs. - Santo_44
It's been a over a season with this PP. How long should we give it? |

I leave the imagining to other fans, I dont pretend to know or care about what players feelings are or what goes on in the dressing room.
I have no insight and dont pretend i do |

It's like the Leafs should play a different game to everyone else, and handle their contracts differently to everyone else. We've become a separatist movement - walshyleafsfan

I watched it 20 times over and have a really hard time seeing a problem with it... in regards to what is allowed in the game today.

Multiple people talking about the Sandin hit. I comment a couple of times. Move on from it. The master has spoken.
I'll talk about what I want to thank you very muchly.

The irony is laughable. Have to throw more hits, but if your team is hit then have to have a response.
Clean hits shouldn't require a response.

How long? They have an entirely new PP coach who has clearly changed things up plus a entirely new 2PP which was awful before.
It’s been 6 games and you are already complaining saying the PP sucks...come back to us at game 40 and see where their PP lies.
In fact, I’ll bet you it’s top 6 in the league by then. And if I am right you can’t come back on here until playoffs and if you are right I won’t. |

They were awful last year (really good in the first 4 or 5 games though) - walshyleafsfan
For me relative to offensive talent, they underperformed on the PP. They did finish with 21.8% good enough for 8th in the league - not exactly awful, but I am confident they will be better. PK was lousy - they were tied for 15th best with two other teams - needs work.

Nonsense. We've found the hidden formula. The other 30 NHL will catch on, but it will be too late.
Move on. |

It’s so (frank)ing sad
But just get a laugh from it. I’ll see if he takes my bet. A half season without Walshy around here would be nice. |

the guy continually calls people soft and cries about a perfectly fine hit thats been part of the game forever
now who needs a safe place - senstroll
Idk, you, Santo, others..
Sandin got sent down because he wasn’t as good vs Det after he got rattled. And no one responded, so they recalled a guy who would.
The funny thing is, you DERPS keep pushing this made-up fairytale Disney-on-ice movement.. Lol, why???
Were you bullied in school or something? The whole world has gone soft. But you be you. |

This is why I am so confident they are at least 6th best.
With the talent they have and a PP coach who seems to know what he is doing is a recipe for success. |

why am I soft when you need to do something about a hit thats part of the game and allowed?
I dont have to get up in a huff cuz my poor player took a legal hit. You need to toughen up - senstroll
well "taking the high road".. is all fine and good - we'll retaliate via the power play also fine and good... "let's take all the emotion out of the game altogether"...
'cause you know no one plays better amped up at all...
and 'cause the playoffs are exactly the same as the regular season.
the holy high road attitude is EXACTLY what lead them to get run out of Boston that last two playoff years...
you can't critique Kadri for being an idiot and getting suspended on one hand.. then when he's not in the line-up.... the line-up has no spine and can't respond to anything the Bruins do to elevate their game.
there are many many aspects to leadership... in hockey guys like Shanahan, Messier are considered the best leaders because they KNEW what to do and when.... and that wasn't always scoring a goal...
often that was taking a hit or RUNNING someone.
there's no question the Leafs have a ton of talent - we all know how much they are paying for that talent.
we also know that the talent needs room to work... having a one-dimensional team is probably not the best idea.

Absolutely done. 100%. I'll see you and raise you, if you can get Burn and Roger to agree (to the 40 game mark), if I'm right (outside top 6), you take them clowns with you and if you're right, i won't post EVER passed to 40 game mark until I'm dead.
How do we remember this? |

I dont call being up 3-2 and losing a game 7 being run out.
the games were much closer and imo, its really the the pp/pk that decided the series. and the Leafs goalie...stinking a few up in game 7
Kadri doing exactly what you want...hurt the team..even if you want to package it and put it in a different box so you can continue your point |

Well said
The guys calling for the players to wear tulus and tiaras are delusional. They think the whole league has gone soft like TO, because they don’t actually watch the games. They just make their stupid graphs and charts and make Willy memes while the game is happening.
But that’s the world we live in now. |
