I have this inkling that he sticks. All he really has to do is outplay MDC I should think.
- Wildschwein

Offensively you think he will. Play away from the puck and in his zone will be the deciding factor as always. Also how he handles the physically up here.

Moose knuckles does get in on the forecheck effectively so I could see him adding that to the line. Not bad in the corners either. Bailey could look to set up Olli on that line.
Should see OW on the PP I would think.

Not directing this at you, but I'm kinda getting tired of the "well he works hard" excuses/reasons. This team needs a major injection of skill. Working hard is important, obviously, but this obsession with blue-collar crap players needs to go away permanently. Even Trotz himself has said "don't mistake activity for achievement".

I’m with you but he has to play with what he has. Also looks like they are trying to spread the youth out with some vet presence on the lines.
You can always mix things up as Trotz said.

Let’s go Islanders.

Yeah that was more of a high-level overview thought than one specific to today's lineup.

Wahlstrom looked like he was afraid to stay out too long and get on Trotz's bad side

WE keep failing to get puck out of zone... that is Capuano hockey. Trotz has to be annoyed at this sht. making passes in D-zone and it ends up in our net.

Just forechecked the Blues, causing turnover to Barzal and set up Mayfield? Not sure what he has or hasn’t done yet? Would have been nice if Mayfield hits the phucking net

MDC has to get that out. Pass right on his stick and bang bang it’s in our net. He’s just slow on his skates and thought process imo, sorry kid.

I'm not saying he can't (or doesn't) do anything positive, but you're not dumb...you know that loading up the Barzal line with skill would probably be more productive. He's a 4th liner and really probably a fringe NHL'er.

And yeah, it was infuriating that Mayfield couldn't at least hit the net. Hasn't been a great start for him this year.

No definitely not dumb. Just can’t stack one line and get nothing from the others.
Just looks like they wanted to even out the talent between the top 3 lines imho.

Walli looked good.

Well they haven't led after a single first period yet this season, so I think one could make a fair argument that spreading the talent isn't really working.

tough to watch some of these shifts. The extra effort just isn't there with a lot of these guys. Brock is floating again.. terrible Lazy passes. we keep failing to keep puck in on easy pass to blue line.. or fail to get it deep when the D-man finally does. constant give aways in D-zone leading to extra shots. Even that last face-off. We had 3 forwards stop allowing them 2 shots.

Talking about this game you nerd. Eberle isn’t talented? Lee and Ebs is giving Barzal talent don’t you think?

I just mean as a general practice. Seeing Dal Colle in the top six is depressing and a head-scratcher. I know they want to spread the talent, but I see no real reason that the 2nd line shouldn't be Beau-Nelson-Bailey until, potentially, Wahlstrom grabs the reigns and forces Trotz to keep him in the lineup. Then you can shift Bailey to LW and either play him or Beau on that line and the other on the 3rd with Brassard and, when everyone is healthy, Komarov.
