Any thoughts what they do when Montour is healthy?
Easy is sending joker to Rochester, but it came out that it’s not gonna happen. And the kids been really solid. Can’t see how you pull him!
Next would be scandella because of the contract status. But he’s been playing really well with joker.
Risto eats the minutes. McCabe is solid as always.
Miller has been a great surprise and dahlin is dahlin.
It’s an interesting problem. I’m curious to see what they do... - Gr8daygo
It will be interesting. Injuries happen and maybe with his improved play, Scandella could be traded (maybe we retain some cap). It will be interesting, but if they all keep playing this well hard to think that one would be a healthy scratch. |

Tage will be the forward soon
My guess is within 2 weeks - homiedclown
He has played well in Rochester, it will be interesting what Botts does. I would guess that any player with 1 year left could be had via trade. Wonder who generates the most interest. |

They played Miller on the left with risto the other night
Perhaps they go that direction and let scandella sit a few - homiedclown
It would be interesting if krueger scratches erod and goes 7 d.
Best guys on the team theory, move 1 up to forward?
Scanndy- mitts -vesey
Put scandella on the wing that mitts likes to pass too. |

Fancy stats for 2019/20 unreliable as comparisons to prior years because NHL is tracking player locations differently this year.

I really hope Miller isn’t a Seattle casualty
He’s been solid as a rock - OneKaneOneCup
Gotta assume we’d protect Dahlin & Jokiharju for sure the way things are going
Tough to guess who the 3rd defenseman would be
McCabe will be UFA
So we wouldn’t have to protect him, but he could choose to walk
Botts could be crafty & sign Montour to only a 1year deal after this season,
thus taking him off the list Seattle could choose from
But he’d also be a UFA that could just chose to leave
Miller & Risto would need protecting if we want to keep either/both
But I’m pretty sure we are gonna lose someone we’d like to keep unless Botts can make a deal
To Seattle:
Tage, Okposo, & a pick ? |

No doubt.
Can't believe he came back to play in that game. |

That's part of what makes things very interesting when Montour returns as Scandella has played well, especially last game.
An underrated part of Botterill's offseason is the job he did gaining trade capital. |

I found Gerbe's new love for 2020 Draft from Corey Pronman's early Prospect Rankings...
Daniil Guschin, LW, Muskegon-USHL: Guschin is a fun player to watch because of his speed, skill, vision and shot. He is 5-foot-8, though.

They valued two players behind him, from what I remember.

I'll be interested to see how the team plays tomorrow.
Hopefully the plan of getting to the West Coast last night helps the team find their legs.
Anaheim likely also flew home yesterday, so will have a similar adjustment. |

Yes, Anaheim was traveling back to CA right after their game yesterday so they may have only gotten into town a couple hours ahead of the Sabres. So in terms of facing teams out west, that definitely takes the travel factor out that the visiting team normally has to deal with.
On the other side if this trip, we have a home and home with SJ, so they'll be dealing with the East travel as well, so hopefully that evens things up for the first home game back from the trip as well. Kind of like how this schedule has been so far. |

We shall see. He has plenty of time to orchestrate a trade, and plenty of pieces to do multiple trades, even multiple trades with multiple assets.
I don't know that I personally would characterize his offseason as one where he gained trade capital in the players he acquired directly...for me, I would say his lack of trading away existing player assets during the offseason has now afforded him the opportunity to deal those guys he retained this season.
Now, if Krueger and staff can get what was considered "trash" to produce at a reasonable rate, then he has enhanced the tradeability of those guys to support players with hopefully some level of value. Let's hope guys like Scandella, Risto, Vesey, Sobotka, Girgs, Larry, Sheary keep playing reasonably well so they capture some value on their way out the door. |

Was thinking the trade route as well but to get rid of Okposo it would probably be a 1st base on what occurred with the Vegas expansion .

I see we've learned so much about forcing an expansion team to take a bad contract for quality assets. |

To me the thought it there, but in reality your giving up more than its worth than just letting them take whoever. |
