Agree with the first point.
Willingness to play at both ends and consistent goaltending are still missing ingredients. - Aetherial

It coulda been worse.

Confession. I still think the Leafs are one of the best teams in the League and will win the cup this season. - senstroll
ice has been tilted in our favor.
they will look damn good if they can tighten up defensively to allow andersen to make a few more saves. |

Once the Tavares line starts pushing the play at 5v5 will help defensively |

i hear ya. the forwards need to push the play to take the pressure of the defense.
but...
i haven't cared for ceci thus far.
l thought there were a few plays were players took advantage of sandin's positioning. the rock pile might be a better in-front net presence.

That line needs to get it going. Seems like it's missing Hyman or something, which is odd.
Or try Mikheyev instead of Kapanen for a few games and see how that goes.
Can't play Mikheyev on the top 2 lines for too long though, or else he will light it up then we will have to pay him 11 million a year |

that's the hope, right? Eventually Tavares and Marner will remember how to do that hockey |

i dont think he is a good fit for Rielly. Both are not great in their own end |

Yeah me neither, he’d be fine on the third pair I think, I’d like to see Dermott up there once he gets up to speed hopefully he can help Rielly. As far as standards and expectations Marner JT Rielly Anderson have been the leafs worst players. That won’t stay like that, once they turn it on Leafs will be in good shape. |

My all-time Leafs roster (only players that I have seen - mind you, in Europe it was almost impossible to get any NHL games before the 90s). As well, not a 'best of Leafs players lineup' but a 'favorite' lineup (favorite could be because of several reasons..
Hyman - Sundin - Mogilny
Andreychuk - Matthews - Marner
Kulemin - Tavares - Kessel
Grabovski - Gilmour - Mike Brown
13/14: Komarov / Ponikarovsky
Kaberle - Kubina
Rielly - Yushkevich
Markov - Ian White
7th: McCabe
CuJo
Potvin
coach: Mike Babcock |
