I am not a fan of the new signing. I want Farabee back on 3rd line and Twarn on 4th line and Myers back after Hagg or Morin sent to AHL. Morin needs the work more. I dont care if we lose one of them. Trade one if thats the fear. Max skill I say, not fitting a so called need. We need more speed and more goals, not more fighting.
Dude had 13 pts in the british hockey league...we already had gabriel and andreoff under contract if they really needed a tough guy. This is just a brain scratcher from Fletcher - bulet13
Probably a favor. You heard AV during BTG. He didn't look good.
I expect Stewie with 3-5 minutes MAX tonight. Probably when Lucic starts running around.

Well, unless you were being sarcastic, he's right. He beat the piss out of Burroughs.
The Haley fight was a lot of clutching and grabbing, more or less a draw. Slight edge to one guy, if anything. - jmatchett383
You are right that he won the fight against Burroughs, but was smoked on the hit that lead up to it because he can't stay upright on his tired old legs anymore. That's also why he was two seconds late to every puck in preseason.
Oh, and Burroughs is an AHL player that is 40 pounds lighter than Stewart.

I agree that he's slow and that he had a decided weight/height/"man stength" advantage over Burroughs. Still wouldn't say he got "smoked" in the fight though.
I'm going to reserve judgement on the Stewart signing. I'll let him play a few games. Although, it doesn't bode well when the GM only says he brings "size and veteran presence" to the club. Let's see what he's got. Be a f*cking Flyer.

I'd really like him to comment on the cap flexibility, specifically what this means for Meyers/Farabee/Frost. Bill if you hear me.... - ClaudeFather
Seriously tho, if Stewart doesn't work out he can simply be waived and demoted. if anything I think this probably means Bunnaman is sent back down esp when Patrick is healthy and maybe even before then so they can call up a center
Has been a corpse for 96 years and I will allow the wheelchair to be used as a weapon. - SuperSchennBros
Okay, so since the corpse has been decomposing for a full 96 years, its limbs will probably fall off if it attempts to lift the wheelchair. That will hurt it in the later rounds.
He will match up nicely against Lucic. Maybe during intermission the broadcast can debate which player possesses more nhl level abilities? - StepfordSam

I'd give the edge to Stewart, odds at 8:5. - jmatchett383

Because the only way you can get smoked on a hit that leads up to a fight is not being able to stay upright on tired old legs?
I get the Flyerbuzz GM's have yet another reason to complain with the Stewart signing but explaining why he got hit by claiming this basically implies that every time a player gets smoked its because he has old legs..
