Ok, wasn't really going of your post to tell you the truth, don't really care about statistics, they can tell you some thing's, but not the whole story. - Buff36
Hey, that's fair. Some people watch sports and don't want to do math. For me the stats are half the fun, but I respect someone who wants to just enjoy the sport without looking at charts. |

If Risto can get you another 2C or 2RW I am all for it, but Sabres will miss the edge he brings, at least until Borgen or Samuelsson is ready, and it will be a few years for the later |

Danny Boy retired 20 years ago, Fish are on their 21st starting QB since then.
Side note to those F1 fans here, there's going to be a Miami Gran Prix with course laid out around Dolphins Stadium. I guess the locals can still squash it, but it seems like they're pretty sure it'll happen. |

Yeah I am sure the Sabres are getting sick of playing good goalies
Bob was hot
Bischop owned the Sabres
Gibson is going to be great but doesn’t get help |

Risto is a good d-man. I think we would definitely miss his physicality but I think Montour can bring everything else that Risto brings to the table with more speed and better zone exits. That’s why I think Risto should be packaged to bring in a top 6 forward. I don’t blame Botts for asking for a really good return, and if he holds on to him based on the lack of offers then so be it. However with Montour, Miller, Joker, and Borgen we can afford to move Risto. - Swedish_Jesus
Yeah but do you have advanced stats to back that up? Oh, wait..those don't really matter because for x, y & z. He is just like player "X" when player "X" was in a similar position. Did you use the eye test? How good is your vision?
Did I miss anything? Am I doing this right?
In all seriousness. It isn't and doesn't need to be more complicated than SwedishJesus' post. This hits the nail directly on the head. |

Apparently the director of player personnel and a couple scouts have been at most of the sabres games this year.
I dont really see a fit there trade wise but its interesting |

For which team? you didn't specify. |

Honestly. I am at the keep Risto camp now. If the current Sabres team ain’t broke and they keep winning. Keep it together.
Risto can be moved at anytime. What’s the rush? - Sabretooth9
Lack of PP time is crushing his point total. He's on pace for 27 pts. Has to be some concern that it's going to hurt his value.

Eh. Depends on how you look at it. Getting Dahlin basically pushed him out in a lot of ways and other teams GMs will know that. They can see from his past seasons that he's capable and generally effective there, so I don't think the fact that we're not using him there currently hurts his value where that's concerned. |

Umm. Interesting. That team is that desperate for a d? C with Shattenkirk I thought they would be okay |

It not helping. Neither is potentially burning another year off a moderate contract. If you believe (like I do) that JB's listened to offers on Risto, but no one has met his price, then there's some concern that they'll miss their window.

I posted this the other day. I think it's a regional broadcast, and I know it is subject to blackout restrictions. It was great for local college basketball (UB, Canisius, etc.) if that interests you. You're supposed to be able to get Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ in a bundle for $13/month once Disney+ launches next month. |

MoJo, Miller, and Joker were tremendous additions. He got MoJo for a reasonable price and term. He's given us a 2nd line that can play defense and produce. It's a massive change from last year. - Lunaion
They went from having 1.5 lines last year to 3 this year.
It's a giant positive change, as you stated.
Imagine if the trio of Vesey, Mittelstadt, and Sheary every get going. |

In no particular order, in terms of Tampa players of interest:
Cirelli
Erik Cernak
Cal Foote |

Tampa’s cap situation is terrible once their goalie’s new contract kicks in next year. They are going to have to trade away some salary to fit under the cap.
I can’t imagine they are thinking of adding anything more than a one year contract. Could they be looking at Scandella? |

Wouldn't surprise me, Scandella has been decent this year, seems like the ankle clean up has helped his skating |

If they could move Scandella would make room for Pilut |
