Our top guys last year aren’t top guys and they are now flourishing under a depth system. Even if someone gets hurt, you’re still getting paired up with someone good. It’s gotta be magic for the confidence |

can tage center? - SabresFaninIndiana
Probably as good or better than Mitts. Mitts is built to be a Patrick Kane winger for Cozens when he’s ready. Tage is built to be a center. We should make it happen now |

Skinner/joho/Vesey
Sobotka/Tage/Sheary
Send Mitts down for some conditioning - lulags

You're right that they can, but what does that deal look like right now? I know everyone would like him to sign a team-friendly deal, but he does have an agent.

isn't starting a west coast trip on one day's rest pretty weird? |

Seems they usually have two days, but perhaps the early game time yesterday is why this year. |

Ducks were in Boston yesterday so both have to deal with the travel. |

One thing that's the same about this streak as last year's...save percentage. The sabres are getting really good goaltending. Hutton has been around long enough that he is fairly certain to regress to the mean, but maybe Ullmark can stay at an above average level and show some growth. - matty12345
Yeah but this years defense has been playing way better than during last years streak. |

I wonder if Anaheim being on the east coast has any effect as they both played yesterday 'afternoon"

I was surprised at the amount of dump ins that we had yesterday - it seems like we've struggled with that the last few games (no, not complaining). It seems that teams have adjust a bit to the stretch pass. There didn't seem to be a lot of urgency for either team.
Good writeup Pachs. I think the addition of Miller, Joker and Mojo have done wonders for us. I can't wait to see what we look like when Montour comes back. |

It might, but either Kruger or Botterill (possibly both) said something earlier about how their schedule is pretty condensed right now because of the Sweden trip. They have almost a week off before the trip and another 5 days or so off after. It might just be a factor of that.
EDIT: it's five days before, four after. |

Yeah, but we are starting against the Ducks who also played yesterday and are coming off of a 4 game East coast trip.
It should be a good test. Miller and Gibson have a combined. 944 sv% and 1.68 gaa. Prior to the 4-2 loss to Boston, they gave a total of 6 goals in 5 games. On the same note, in the 6 games they played they have only 13 goals for. |

It's huge factor. The amount of time they have off for that trip is crazy.

You would bring Tage, a career winger, up from the AHL and put him at Center in the NHL? Did I read that right? |

I've always been on the side of replay under the pretense that the game has become so fast that it's easy to miss something big. However, the expansion of the replay rules has become so ridiculous that I don't find this take as crazy as I used to. I still think it's necessary because it's an industry worth billions of dollars, and you owe it to the paying customers to get things as right as possible, but I am more sympathetic to the opposite argument than I ever have been. |
