We should trade Voracek to EDM for Larsson and then flip Larsson back to NJ for Hall.

Fool proof!

- xShoot4WarAmpsx

This gives us the added bonus of winning the draft lottery thanks to Hall's luck in that regard

voracek and ghost have been useless so far
- 2Real

Ghost has not only been useless, he has been a hindrance. He needs to get with the program or his poor girlfriend who went to school here, has gotten a job, and made friends in the area in going to be searching for all three along with his three dogs.

Edit: On a serious note. How long will AV allow continuous errors of any player take place before he sits them?

I have to disagree with you here. Giroux used to be but Couturier is the teams best overall player imo. He also needs to replace Hayes on the first pp unit, something I am surprised the Flyers are taking a career 40-50 point guy, overpaying him and trying to make him a number one center, sorry it is not going to happen. Back to topic I agree Giroux is a pp specialist for sure but check it out, what does he really accomplish 5 on 5 considering the amount of ice time he logs. I hope G lights it up to prove me wrong but these old dogs Giroux and Voracek are fading imo. Voracek for sure is a head case. I love them all just being brutally honest.

Way too hung up on who is a #1 center and who isn't. Chemistry between linemates is certainly important but just because Hayes is playing with Giroux doesn't mean they're trying to make him a #1 center. I would think someone with 50 years of GM experience would recognize that. Are you trying to say that Giroux is not a good 5 on 5 player?

Did you watch last night's game? Stewart effectively forechecked by forcing breakouts to make the tough stretch pass. He came very close to scoring once, and almost had another chance. And he had 3 hits by my count (albeit 1 was more of a brush of a follow-thru).

I'm not some Stewie fanboy by any means, but he held his own and hasn't shown any reason he can't hang as a 12/13.

- GrittySauce

I agree. they key will be can he do that consistently? maybe in spot duty he can be effective. up to the coaches to figure out when that duty will be and how much

This point drives me crazy - especially since Fletcher said numerous times something to the tune of "we have center depth and more of a A/B/C than 1/2/3 plan."

Plus, Oskar-Coots-TK are KILLING it right now (last night aside, most everyone stunk)

Exactly, so many armchair's just think they know the end-all gameplan that makes us Cup contenders overnight.

Not to mention, it's not like Fletch can't waive Stewart to make room if Farabee/Frost/etc. make it clear they're ready to move up. People act like everything is written in stone

I'd break them up and try

Giroux - Hayes - TK
Lindblom - Coots - Voracek

Giroux and Voracek are pass 1st type players. I think splitting them up can do them both some good. Having NoPa back will give the team much more flexibility though. I just dont think Laughton fits the 3rd line.

I could see that working - my thought being, maybe Lindblom/Coots could help get Voracek in gear. Lindblom seems to make people elevate their game.

My only real fear is JVR/Voracek ending up on a line together and being a defensive nightmare

I also messaged him on LinkedIn, posted on his facebook wall and left him a voicemail. He tends to ignore my calls for some reason.....

For whatever reason the team played poorly and seemed to lack energy. I'm sure their schedule played some part, but as the players said it's no excuse. Bad games happen for all teams. The really disappointing thing to me is that the star players on this team so seldom step up in games like this. Elliott and Niskanen played good games, but not exactly inspirational. Despite their poor play it was close right down to the end of the game. A big hit or amazing individual offensive effort could have made a big difference last night.
- Dkos

I agree completely on the star player point. I dont agree about lacking energy. They had plenty of legs. They just didnt play well and nobody stepped up to carry the team.

Lindblom and Couturier are the two best play drivers on the team and its not really close. If Voracek cant produce on a line with those two then there is no hope for him.

It's like Jake has had a case of the yips for the last 2-3 seasons. Even tho his numbers have been consistently good (sometimes great), he seemed much more comfortable driving plays as well as finishing his first 5 years as a Flyer

I don't know how much longer I can be patient with him on my fantasy team. He should be killing it but he seems to just get dumber and dumber like voracek

He makes 8+mil a year, damn near superstar money, and they have to resort to re-arranging the forward lines in an attempt to find his pulse. How sorry it is that he found AV's dog house before he found the back of the net.
