I haven't seen them play yet because I don't get their games and my team is the Kings but they will be bad and boring to watch yet another season. That is another topic though.

To start, I'd like to say that I have met PK Subban and he is an amazing person, full of energy, and just a really solid human being....

...buuuuuuut....

PK is a very polarizing player. He literally splits the dressing room in half. Half of the guys think "man, does this guy EVER shutup? does he realize that we are going to war every night and we have a job to do? Jesus...focus on the game bud". While the other half of the room loves his energy, loves his passion and they get motivated from it. These two worlds inevitably collide and there you have it...a dressing room in disarray. Thrown in a dose of Taylor Hall "confidence" and you've got yourself a highly dysfunctional team.

That's my personal theory and I'm sticking with it.

Maybe the Devils can get another #1 pick to make it 3 #1's in 4 years. They can be the new Oilers with lots of #1 picks in a short amount of years and still do nothing (until this year so far anyways as Edmonton is playing great).

A few facts (some hard to digest)

1. The edmonton oilers will make the playoffs - this start isn't a mirage
2. The New Jersey Devils will not
3. The Flyers have not solved their goalie problem.....yet...AGAIN
4. Connor McDavid will easily hit 130 points if healthy
5. Avalanche are months (7/19?) from playing in the conf. finals
6. Leafs are not contenders with their current defensive play
7. Blues will not repeat - but will be contenders for years
8. 4-5 Canadian teams will make the playoffs this year

That's a fairly good assessment and I don't think it is too far off.

There are times when he is posting nonsense on social media 24/7 before or after a game and I'm saying to myself, "Does this guy ever have hockey on his mind?". Don't get me wrong, seems like an awesome dude - but I can easily see where all of that gets rather old (especially when team is in a death spiral) in a locker room full of 20 grown men.
