Feds what was your summertime outlook on Neal and has that changed? I just remember you saying that Perry and Getzlaf won’t rebound, don’t recall what you said on Neal

It’s an interesting question. Basketball does their perX metric at 36 minutes to basically line up with the absolute max you want any given player to play on any given night in the regular season. Technically, it all comes out to the same number, you’re just defining the fraction differently, but I get your point. It’d be easier to compare it to raw points per game that way.

And if you talk to someone unfimiliar deeper metric analysis, they just dont have a clue how to relate what is good in p/60 to a good ppg.

He’s got the Pens, Ducks, Jackets, and Sharks as winners (among others). Seems pretty bold to me

Never said anything on Neal but I think most logical people would have expected his 5% shooting percentage from last year to rebound. Obviously his early season success isn’t sustainable but I would have expected him to push the 20 goal mark again.

Perry is expected to make his debut on the “2nd line“ for the Stars tonight with Hintz and I think they said Faksa. No Pavelski signing yet

Quite a few people were saying it was a bad move by the Oilers

I thought Neal was cooked, but moving out that Lucic contract was a win regardless of how well or poorly you thought Neal would do.

At the end of the day 20ish goals are 20ish goals they obviously help.

However, it’s classic Neal to score in bunches early in the season then be a complete ghost.

Ehhh...I thought it would be pretty easy to see his shooting % and thus goals rebound this season, which it did. He has scored in the 20s (and once in the 30s and once in the 40s) his entire career, even when not playing full seasons, except for last season.

Now, a player who is definitely cooked is Brassard. He isn't even living up to his $1.2M contract and probably won't. Talk about falling off a cliff. I can only think that his groin is still injured and even if it heals he will probably age out. Too bad JR and the Pens were the unlucky recipients of that nosedive.

Brassard is Stephen Weiss 2.0

Same thing happened with Weiss in Detroit. Once his groin was F’d he couldn’t skate at the NHL pace.

Comparing those numbers between the Crosby by and McKinnon line, I still don’t give a poop. Goals win, put Hornqvist with Sid.

So do you purposely want to drag down the transition on that line with Mr. Dump’N’Chase?

I purposely want to put a player who knows how to score goals with good players. I wouldn’t be opposed to forming s line with Hornqvist and Simon whose purpose is too play against the other teams best line. However you would have to have to tell them that and cater their game to that. Not Sullys forte.

204 minutes is only fifteen games. Too small of a sample size.

Horn does some good things once he’s in the zone. He cycles well, creates chaos and yes, he can score.

However, he stifles solid zone entry when he carries the puck. He’s piss poor in his ability to actually carry the puck to help start the cycle.

I’ll level with you. If Simon could pull off some goals(not the 5th goal on a blowout where everyone’s putting one in) fine he’s great. But I’m not going to jerk off to “zone entries” when Craig Adams would have more goals in as many minutes as Simon’s spent with Crosby. I honestly think Simons body works faster than his brain. When he gets the puck in a scoring opportunity he has no train of thought what to do with it. He’s a puck swatter

No Mccann in warm up.

Looks like 11 forwards and 7 D-men.
