Dare I say Scandella has been one of our better defensemen tonight

I don’t hate their game tonight. They had pushback and are playing against the best goalie in the game. They literally could have been winning 5-0 with 2 mins left on the 1st

gotta hand it to the ducks...they disrupted Buffalo every which way they could

Has not played this period.

Still think it's garbage that he takes the rap for the 4th goal, but he's firmly in Ralph's doghouse. I expect lazar or Sheary in for him

- jcragcrumple

Yeah Risto was more to blame upon further review. Still, he’s done virtually nothing since being put in the lineup and you would have thought he’d be skating his butt off

That empty net goal is a microcosm of the entire game tonight

E Rod looked bad on the wing to start last year too
Didn’t start playing well till he was moved to center

Maybe the 3rd line answer is to swap him & Mitts?

Gerber Collision? I guess if there’s not really going to be any collisions, they shouldn’t have to name a Carubba Collision of the game.

If the Sabres score a couple goals on the power plays created by the cheapness, blue print exposed....

This.

They refused to shoot the puck.

They kept passing into blocked lanes.

Id sit Erod and Vesey and get Sheary and Lazar in tomorrow

And yet he's an even player with 7 minutes played

I still dont know how you can hang the 4th goal on him. Risto absolutely did nothing. He gave his guy 3 feet and waived his stick at him.

That's a lindy ruff "joke"

Between Vesey and Erod they need to produce something at some point.

Vladimir Sobotka has more actual points.

Maybe I’m remembering wrong...

But i thought E Rod looked crappy on the wing to start last year as well
And didn’t look good until he was moved to Center

And to be fair...
everyone looked pretty mediocre after the 1st

But yeah...
get some fresh legs in there

Does anyone think that the time change had to do with anything? They are not used to playing after midnight. Their game had lots of jump in the first and it fizzled as the game (and night) progressed....it seemed like this was a throw away game and they will bounce back against the Kings....

Yeah, 1 point while playing 15 minutes a night.

It's clear that erod is done here, but I think hanging this on him is garbage. Getzlaf scores on a PP goal and Risto has a picnic at the faceoff dot for the 4th goal and Krueger glues erod to the bench for the 3rd

Nevermind that he had a breakaway chance and set up Vesey for a prime scoring chance

it really was a simple give and go between Henrique and comtois...not sure what you want him to do other than block the pass...which would have been nice, but isn't exactly easy to do

I’m not hanging any of the goals on him.

But if he scored one he probably doesn’t get sat.

I also don’t think he’s “done here”

Take the body or the puck

If you watch the replay, Risto is playing 3 feet off of him. He literally did nothing there. Literally any different choice would have been better than "stand over here and waive my stick at him

https://mobile.twitter.co...amp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet

I'll post it again

Risto starts fading away from his man into the corner and does nothing. Risto is backing into the corner instead of taking the passing lane
