Tibbets was here in 02-03. All of the above except Simon were on that roster |

Just watched game ( got home late ). While Hall only got minor for that hit on Fox, would not be surprised to see that reviewed by league. That is EXACTLY the type of hit they are trying to remove from game. Lets see if there is any supplemental discipline...
Glad I didn't go to the game after all! - TommyGTrain
LOL, fox lowered his head right before the hit and changed principle point of contact. |

if Hughes got hit by that Hall flying elbow to the head he'd miss 3 months

because he's a P U S S Y - jimbo83

Imagine thinking your player leaving his feet with a flying elbow to the head of the opponent is the innocent party |

It amazes me how homerish some fans are. Why is it so hard to say, "We kicked your ass last night, but Halls hit was dirty." |

I loved the one replay I saw of that last night. It was in slow motion right up until the actual contact. Glad they made it nearly impossible to see the one thing everyone watch that clip for - eichiefs9
The actual hit to the head wasn't that bad, more glancing then anything, but Wilson does that and there are 40 blogs about that and why is he even in the NHL, Granted he has a history and Hall is a pretty clean player, it still doesn't change what he did last night.
I mean he literally left his feet and aimed the elbow for the head, thats the definition of a major, I don't give poop what team you play for. |

I was so disgusted with the Yankee game that I ended up watching the 3rd period of the Flames/Wings. Man that got ugly. Lindholm threw a high elbow into Helm, who got up, skated over to Lindholm, and full-on two-handed him right on the side of the knee

They show the slash like 50 times but not the elbow which started it - mdw7413
Yeah I'd like to see a different angle of that. It kinda look like Helm may have sold it a bit, but it's hard to tell from that high angle.
The slash was pretty egregious though. He probably deserves a lengthy suspension for that one. Whether or not he gets it is another story. |

No, but it was late in the game and they were up 3 at the time (ended up winning by 4). They announced that it wasn't serious and he's listed as day-to-day |

I don't know if you nail me in the chin with an elbow, a two hander to the back of the leg seems appropriate |

Watch the highlight on YT. Halls feet dont leave the ice till after the contact. Also, Fox tries to duck/ lean/ fall backwards to avoid the hit and that's why he gets hit in the head. Its clear as day watch the slow Mo. I can admit when a hit is illegal. It wasn't an illegal hit. Had fox not changed the point of contact his head wouldnt have been hit. Know the rules of hockey before you go around saying silly stuff

It was illegal. Hall is an awesome player who is usually a clean player. It was a dirty hit plain and simple. You target a players head with an elbow extended its dirty. Nothing you can say will convince me otherwise. If Hall stayed on his feet and it was his shoulder it would have been fine
