Due to Elway’s playing career and the fact we won Super Bowl 50 I think he bought himself the last few years but it’s pretty evident we need a change at the top. The good news is though with Sutton, Lindsay, and Freeman we have young talented players at the skill position. Time to trade Sanders, Harris, and a few other vets and go get the QB we need to kickstart the next 40 years of successful Broncos football. - Swedish_Jesus
Bills will take Sanders for a 6 |

Casey had a good game. I hope this is the game where he starts driving the third line so it will play and contribute like one.

I made it through 0 minutes of the game last night. Looks like that line finally was the one clicking. Let's hope they can build on it going forward. |

I was hoping you all could help me. Ive never coached an NHL game before but, when a goalie doesnt have a goal scored on them in two straight games should they continue to play hockey contests or should the other guy play instead?

My guess is they're going with Hutton next game, even if he hadn't gotten a second straight shutout. But if I'm the coach, I'm most certainly playing him coming off back to back shutouts. Especially since he really had to work for the one last night it seems (I did not make it through the game, so that's just based off of the stat sheet and what I'm reading). |

I need Ullmark to play, and play decently for my fantasy team.
Let's go Linus!

There was zero chance Hutton played 3 games in 4 nights
Ullmark played well vs the ducks in the past, so coach went with Ullmark Wed and planned on Hutton Thursday
My guess is if there was Wed's game was in the east, it might have been Hutton Wed and Ullmark Thursday, but either way Hutton was not playing 3 games in 4 nights anyhow
it's a nothing story |

And, there's a growing trend in the league that most teams that aren't paying their goalies 10M/year, their backup is going to get 25-30 games. It's ok to put your backup in if he's not a train wreck. |

While I thought it was interesting that Ullmark got the start on Wednesday with Hutton coming off a SO, it made some sense to me when they said at the beginning of the broadcast that Ullmark had a SO against the Ducks last year. I knew that they'd be splitting these two games in general as unless you have an injury teams tend not to start guys in back to backs. |

I honestly don't think that it would have made a difference who was in on Wednesday to be honest. So like Homie said, it's a non story.

I've learned that bad teams can put together long win streaks. |

short turnaround and flying across the country probably had something to do with it as well
I mean it does take a day or 2 to adjust to 3 time zones |

He has also played the backup off back to back wins when not traveling.
There is a goalie with zero losses and people are arguing to not want him playing. |

I get what you're saying, but that doesn't make sense in regards to which goalie they picked for game 1 out there seeing as how both Hutton and Ullmark had to make the time transition. It's not like they sent Ullmark out a day or two earlier. |

nope, they were not going to play him Wed and Thursday no matter what
zero teams in the NHL would play a goalie 3 out of 4 nights with a 3 time zone difference sandwiched in between
logic says jet lag and ullmark history vs the ducks, play hutton monday, thursday and saturday
and that is what the coach did/will do

I think what you're missing is that we have a more condensed schedule because of the Sweden trip this year. Plus the old school mentality of having a starting goalie that plays 70 games is basically non existent.
The other thing to take into consideration is that both Hutton and Ullmark have very different styles, so I can see how a coach may choose a certain guy against a certain team that he thinks makes sense based on the skill set. It's not just as simple as saying "well, Hutton is the #1 so we're going to ride him til he dies." |

Didnt play 3 nights
Dallas was an afternoon game..... hence why they didnt get a travel day which is messed up.
BUt i get it you dont want to ride a goalie whos undefeated because he cant play a few days in a row. I mean I cant wait for the tandem starter in the playoffs if we ever get there. |

but ullmark was rested, hutton played
there is a reason we would see lalime out there for the first west coast game on a short turnaround instead of miller
mika instead of marty, when marty was the number 1
it was of course different with hasek

I'm not saying I disagreed with it, just that they both had to deal with the time change.
Like I said, it made sense to me that in general they were each getting a game Wed/Thurs. Neither of them were going to play both nights. |
