I wouldn't mind Toffoli, could use a change of Scenery, he can put the puck in the net, the only thing different is the skating, Zucker can fly. - Buff36

I’m just don’t get the toffoli love.
Whoever signs him to his next contract is going to regret it, IMO

"Sometimes when you win, you really lose, and sometimes when you lose, you really win, and sometimes when you win or lose, you actually tie, and sometimes when you tie, you actually win or lose. Winning or losing is all one organic mechanism, from which one extracts what one needs."

I'd rather extend sheary
2 years 7 mil to 8 mil total
then you have locked up for top 9 next season
eichel, skunk, skinner, olofsson, johansson, sheary, casey and cozens
throw tage in the mix, use the cap space to upgrade a d man

Pretty or not, this team is playing better hockey than they have in years. They are competing every night. I haven't seen a single shift that a player has slacked. This is what makes this year different and why I think they will finally make the playoffs, even though they have some holes in their roster. With Cozens next year, watch out...

If that's true (not questioning the comment, I just have no idea), his speed combined with not being a pending a UFA and a cap hit of $5.5M through age 31 would make me lean his way over Toffoli in a trade.
It would also mean Zucker would likely cost more due to the above as well.

Sheary's been a bad 3rd line player in his time here. Going to take more than 2 good games to change my mind on him, and paying that to a 3rd line winger is going to cause issues.
Why move him, if that line with Mitts, Vesey, Sheary can keep it going then you have 3 good lines and a 4th that has been really good at controlling play - Buff36
My previous post was in regards to the 2 cross crease passes and a centering pass that were wiffed on by his linematesin the Anaheim game. At his age and with the effort I have seen this year, I would try him with Skinner and Mojo....it might give his confidence a boost and kickstart his career. Sobotka can do the same for the 3rd line that he's doing for the second now.
I never liked Mittlestadt before the Anaheim game, but I think he is starting to get it, and his ceiling is much higher than Sobo. Also not saying a permanent change now, but something to seriously consider trying.
Lol what is wrong with you? All Sabres players at 6-1-1 are playing amazing and the world is rainbows and unicorns?
Dahlin played 4 bad games defensively. That is a fact.
Ullmark has just played okay
This team is winning (which is great) but it hasn’t been pretty - Sabretooth9
Nothing wrong with me, they're 6-1-1 and you're acting like every player is playing poorly, especially Dahlin and Ullmark.
Dahlin is on pace for 92 points and a +20. he's +2 on the year, risto is -1, mccabe 0, scandella +3, joker +2 and Dahlin's partner Miller is a team leading +6. Dahlin is fine has been fine and will be fine. Perhaps Miller's +6 has something to do with his playing partner too?? There's a thought.
Ullmark save percentage is .915, above league average. His GAA is 3.24 which is a bit high but he's also faced 117 shots in 3 games (an average of 39 per game for those keeping score at home). He wasn't great Wednesday but was the main reason we got 3 points in his first 2 starts.
I think the Sabre's main problem so far is their mascot. Sabretooth just has to up his game!
