Giordano is 36 and he wasn't good until 30.

I just think Myers could be a potential hurdle for any younger better defensemen to pass on the depth chart because of his cap hit. If the ceiling goes up over the next couple of years, it'll be less of an issue.

Hearing that the New Jersey Devils are close to signing Nico Hischier to a seven-year extension worth around $7.25 M AAV per season. Hischier is in the final year of his entry-level deal.

Why is no one mentioning that we are only one point behind the Leaves with two games in hand.

Where is STumbleLeaf when you need him.

- VANTEL

Because we are all waiting for you to do it.

No no.... Let's not get ahead of ourselves...

Miller is good... True but JB didn't need to give up the first.

Personally I like it, it used to be the guys got paid when they were in their early 30's, mostly for what they'd done in previous years, now, kids are most productive between 23 - 26, pay them when they're at their peak and stop paying them ridiculous salaries in their late 20's and early 30's.

"Within the past 3 years, however, it seems a general consensus has been reached. Rob Vollman summarizes this quite well in his book Stat Shot: The Ultimate Guide to Hockey Analytics: “Most players hit their peak age by age 24 or 25 then decline gradually until age 30, at which point their performance can begin to tumble more noticeably with the risk of absolute collapse by age 34 or 35.”"

I think Edler needs to come off the PP, I took a large swig of wine for every drop pass Edler did on the PP, went through a whole bottle of the 5 on 3 alone, and the hitting the shin pads is reason enough to replace him.
- Makita

Even worse is EP and BB seem to think the PP is all about setting up Edler for a shot. Maybe that is the strategy? Wouldn't surprise me with Brown.

Get Hughes on the 1st unit.

Even after a win over the cup champs there’s a civil war in here

Some of my close friends who are Leafs fans have already given up on the season. Self pity claiming they are the softest team in the league...

Priceless.

That's a great price for the 7 year deal. Benning would be king if he can lock down Petey for a similar number.
