It’s far from just goaltending, poopty hockey leads to poor tending I’m afraid. He’s let in a couple stinkers, but 6 outta 7 against TB was shoddy D ( by the whole team )
- Garnie

Come on, your goalie can't have a .893 save %. I am so tired of this guy escaping all criricism on the Leafs. Goaltending IS the biggest issue thus far,.

I’m tired of people who think the save percentage is all on the goalie, I have the games saved if you’d like some lessons, come on over.

Leafs 3rd line has been maybe the leafs best offensive line even strength this year. Put Nick shore there and that offense dries up. Petan atleast has some offensive ability.

Marner mikheyev Moore Kapanen Gauthier Kerfoot can all kill penalties you don't need shore for that.

- HealthyScratch6

Petan blows. Shore cycles better.

You listed only one guy who can win FOs regularly. Still need Shore to kill penalties.

I think he gets criticized plenty for the Game 7s and weak Octobers. But he also stops a zillion shots and steals games. He's arguably their MVP.

Andersen has been terrible. How can you not see that?

Just leave that line, they’re fine.

I’d move Kerfoot to JT’s spot, Spezza can have the 4th line C...Goats played well enough to give him 3c for a bit.

- Garnie

That's most likely what will happen.

Well this year isn't exactly over. I'd call it more like just getting started. And yeah he needs to outplay the other guy in a game 7 for a change, certainly. Hopefully more than one.

Not every goal against is the goalies fault, obviously, but his 5-hole has been atrocious this year. I feel like 70% of the goals he has let in are 5-hole this year.

Huh? 5v5?

Nylander has been in on all but one of his 5v5 point.

- Santo_44

He has one primary assist, and one secondary.

Vs Ottawa Nylander primary on Matthews 1st goal.
Vs Tampa secondary assist on Matthews goal.

Matthews goals are coming from Marner and Reilly so far. Also Matthews hasn't been in on Nylander's goals. These are facts. Why do you guys argue stupid poop with Nylander all the time? It's just a fact FFS.

I said top 10.

Leaf issue is goaltending, not defense right now. I know that doesn't play into the "Andersen" carries the team idea, but he stinks. He currently has a .893 save %.

- RogerRoeper

No, the defense definitely sucks.

If you watch the games, that line is playing well together. It's not just a matter of adding up their respective points over seven games.

Another tiny, soft, one-way player. Useless in the bottom-six role. He's Bracco in a few years.

He doesn't want to play there anymore, he's gone.

Plus, they're winning without him so I don't think they care if he comes back or not.

Just a matter of what the cost is.

Take away the teams pathetic game against TB, how’s his average? I think he’s let in a couple stinky’s as I stated, but he’s been far from awful.

Oh yeah, did he say definitively he wants a trade? Didn't know that. I wonder. If they could get him for (frank) all that would be good.

I agree about the playoffs, but I’m talking this year. Just like I’ve forgotten how poopty Nylander was last year, I’ve forgotten the stinkers Andy let in, in game 7

He wants playing time more than anything.

Holland isn't Chiarelli so he won't give him up for free but it'd be interesting to know what the price tag is. He'd look great in our top-six and he'd cost next to nothing on the cap.
