Hmm Tsn, insider trading saying Carolina is interested in Ho Sang my question is if they really were, why didn't they just claim him?
Why give up something when you could have had him for free?

- Hockeyguy78

Because he would've had to go on waivers again if they wanted to assign him to Charlotte. That, plus he's probably worth like a 4th round pick at best

Varly was solid tonight. Has anyone noticed we need a scoring top six forward. Just something I noticed.

He was great. Without him they lose Streaks

Damn straight. Truth be told, there were many games last year that Greiss and Lehner won for us, glad Varly is filling Lehner void.

I know. I think you guys were discussing balance earlier. Unfortunately, those are the cards we have to play when Eb's goes down up top, and we loose Czikas. Trotz shortened the bench in the third, but can't do that all season. Maybe we need a little HOOO-Down, if you can pick up what I'm laying down.

I would say Wahlstrom is here to stay.

I'd like to agree but when eberle is back and ladd hes the odd man out and what do they do with del colle? He needs waivers to be sent down so they may not be willing to give up on him yet

I am sure I am in the minority here .. but if he doesn't start scoring I am ok with him getting sent back down when Casey and Ebs are back. He will come back even more hungry and hell bent the next time he gets called up. Especially if it's not till next year when Holmstrom and Special K are trying to crack the line up too... He looks very good for sure, but I am fine not rushing it.

Sooo, you thought the lines last night were, what...dynamic? They were hemmed in their own zone most of the game and went 20 minutes without registering a shot on goal

My understanding is Ho Sang asked for a trade and therefor was told to stay home and not report for bport. They havenโ€™t traded him so heโ€™s still in limbo. Theyโ€™re definitely not gonna be calling him up after this latest debacle. Heโ€™s not part of the organization at this point if heโ€™s told to stay home.

It's still only two games, but if Eberle is out for another week or so and if Wahlstrom keeps playing the way he has been then I think they may be forced to bench, or even waive, Dal Colle. Too early to speculate, but I've seen nothing but positives from Wahlstrom. He's had a few HD scoring chances in two games and he's shown he can hang, so far.

edit: obviously tiny sample size, but still:

Wahlstrom now leads NYI forwards for 5v5 indiv expected goals / 60:

0.94 Wahlstrom
0.75 Nelson
0.69 Eberle
0.58 Lee

The rookie is top-50 among NHL forwards with 20+ minutes, ahead of top-line talents such as Matthews, Ovechkin, Connor, Eichel, Pastrnak, and Marchand.

I'm not averse to waiving del colle but lou may want to make sure before he parts with him. Too bad we have komorov for 2 more after this year and brassard this far has been a bust

I can't help but think this is a result of too many Tavares jerseys burned in the parking lot.

The best feature is that you can change the last name to "Snake" without even having to use duct tape to cover the old one up. It's going to really cut into Home Depot's bottom line, but it will save fans some money.

Jokes aside, I'm more interested in the VR/augmented-reality options for the seats up high, that's pretty cool.

I'd say he doesn't have too much trade value. He doesn't score in the NHL, he's a dime-a-dozen player. I'd rather waive him and keep BPT well-stocked. The 6th round pick he'd probably fetch isn't really worth having him stashed in BPT in case we need him again. If someone happens to take a flyer on him and we lose him for nothing, it's not a huge loss.

I don't see the correlation between a jersey being changed to a different name and number (while wearing it in the arena) and Tavares jerseys being burned?

Id like to add him as a throw in type of thing. Either way he's been yet another disappointing top 5 pick. In 2 games Wahlstrom leaped him on the depth chart.
