I'm not averse to waiving del colle but lou may want to make sure before he parts with him. Too bad we have komorov for 2 more after this year and brassard this far has been a bust
- Upstate_isles

Call me crazy, but I think Komarov's been one of the better bottom-six role players so far this season.

I don't know if we'd have to worry too much about Dal Colle getting claimed. The same "he'd have to be waived again to play in the AHL" thing that applied to Ho-Sang would apply to Dal Colle too, right? So any team that claims him would be forced to use him at the NHL level or else risk losing him right back to the Isles. I'm not sure I can think of a team that would like his game so much that they would guarantee him an NHL spot. Maybe, though. I guess someone out there could be riddled enough with injuries to take the chance.

I don't see the correlation between a jersey being changed to a different name and number (while wearing it in the arena) and Tavares jerseys being burned?

I changed my son's to Goring.. much easier.
- niteislander

Probably for the best. Butch won't have such a hard time saying whatever it used to be, the new name will be a lot more familiar for him.

I still think the Islanders should be seriously exploring Puljujarvi. I don't think the cost would be huge and I really believe getting out of EDM and getting a fresh start would be really good for him.

You were saying the islanders are doing these jerseys because of the Tavares jerseys being burned? I don't see the correlation to that. I think its a stretch at best.

I'd say he doesn't have too much trade value. He doesn't score in the NHL, he's a dime-a-dozen player. I'd rather waive him and keep BPT well-stocked. The 6th round pick he'd probably fetch isn't really worth having him stashed in BPT in case we need him again. If someone happens to take a flyer on him and we lose him for nothing, it's not a huge loss.

At this point I want him traded just to get it over with.

He's got some value to us. He's familiar with the system, the coaches obviously like him...stuff like that. He's a top-6 guy in the AHL and it's obvious that Lou has worked to improve BPT, I think having a strong farm system where young guys can step into is important. I'd honestly rather have him as a 13th/14th forward than Johnston. He can play both wings, so that's an easy replacement for Martin or Clutterbuck if they go down or need a rest.

But yea, I don't think he's going to be a particularly special player...so if they lose him I'm not gonna be too upset.

We already offered a reunion of Gropp with Barzal but chiefs vetoed it. Blame him

I'd do it for a 3rd and Hickey. That $4M is tough to take by itself with the RFA's they have to sign this offseason.

Don't forget to keep it refrigerated or it's going to smell like the inside of mdw's gf's rolls on a humid day when the AC isn't working.
